It's the fault of the government, the police here are not given the authority they need to enforce the law, I'm sure if those police had kill those hoodlums Nigerian would have claim they hoodlums were innocent without investigation,the public would then go on rampage n the government will descend on the police officers,so to avoid all these problems since orders were not forthcoming the officers had to abandoned the stations for their safety, isn't it ironical that the primary duty of the police is to enforce the law n protect life n properties yet Nigerians do not want the police to use force but instead to be at their Beck and call,the description of police as public servant in Nigeria is very wrong,most times I just pity the police.

What would you have them do in such a situation? A mass attack on a station that will probably be less than 10 personnel. If they injured or killed any of those guys, we will come here shouting police brutality again. And trust me if those guys caught any of them, they would have roasted them as they did others

Exactly,we Nigerians are our problem,n until we are ready to change we shall continue to suffer,it suprises me how people take police for granted yet expect the same police to serve them well,the government itself seems to care more about the military neglecting the other security bodies, perhaps it's for feat of coup but you would see the military doing whatever they feel like with no consequence,even the so much talk about corruption in the police is as a result of the senior officers benefitting from it n the government lacking the decisiveness to take the appropriate actions.

In as much as we are not happy with the way some security operatives carry out their legal activities we should not encourage wrong doings from the public too. The result of such actions is the ravaging cult wars, armed robbery and other violent activities going on in the country which Edo state is having a larger share at the moment. Miscreants like you forgot totally the reasons and essence of the struggle which centers around good governance and also an end to corrupt practices from all sectors, which was almost ruined.
