The crude oil is the major reason why the Northern part of Nigeria is foot dragging on restructuring. They believe they might go hungry if they accept, and nobody would want to let go off what feeds him or her... you and I won't as well.

So, a suggestion is to lease all Nigeria's oil wells to all states for say 30 or 50years this way, each state will start off on almost thesame level playing field. Then after 30 or 50 years, the oil wells goes back to the original state that owns it.

The oil wells will not be subjected to state tax, While a certain percentage goes to the federal government.

This will give each states ample time to diversify her economy, manage her resources, compete and develop.

Any newly discovered oil wells will belong to the state it is discovered.

I know the south south region might be against this preposition, but i feel it's a better option compared to what has been happening for the past 50years of oil exploration.

This formulary will solve alot of problems, bring about even development, reduce agitations, and bring true federalism along side other restructuring ideals.

I decided to talk on the oil since its the golden goose that lays the golden egg.

Let's discuss.

And what happens to the gold in Zamfara or the limestone in Ogun?

Your proposition is off the mark.

As it is right now, is the oil money not being shared without the limestone and gold?

At least this gives states power to look for more oil wells and other mineral resource and manage them.

The lease sacrifice on the existing oil wells will just for 30 or 50years.

Zamfara gold belongs strictly to Zamfara!

The Niger Delta oil belongs strictly to EVERYONE!

And this is why you see them keep on talking about ‘one indivisible...indissoluble whatever’! I can tell you for free that even if oyel finishes tomorrow, that they will still hold on to ‘one Nigeria’ like their life depends on it! This country is what they use to reassure themselves that they’re something! I mean, see as they’re murdering the ‘nyamurees’ and anyone else that crosses their path, and see how they use a crooked democratic system to either steal and hold on to power, or determine who they want to be president! They know they’re dealing with a greedy and lilly-livered southern elite so they can go to bed and sleep soundly!

Ever wondered why they fear IPOB and Mazi Kanu even more than Fulani herdsmen or the Bokos? It’s because he’s the number one threat to their hustle that is ‘one Nigeria’!

With ‘one Nigeria’ they can fuc/k up as much as they want and even elect a vegetable as president because they know they have the mugu southerners to save them from themselves and insulate them from the consequences of their actions!

There’s also the added advantage of having access to the sea which ‘one Nigeria’ provides!

They control the seaports; customs; airports; NNPC and petroleum ministry; agriculture; communications; military and paramilitary institutions; judiciary; legislature; and the cherry on the cake....the presidency! The daft southerners have made it just too easy for them!

So given all the aforementioned, don’t think they’re going anywhere any time soon!
