Cultism has become a menace in our society. It has been so normalized, that these touts feels they can do whatever they want and go scot-free. Even kids of 16-19 are proudly a member of the frat. You can't talk to a kid anyhow here. On Sunday (Benue state, otukpo), where I work at a hotel, some of these aye boys were having a party, I was watching from a farther distance, because I wouldn't want to go close to them. A bike man drops a lady at the gate of the hotel, two rough looking young men who also came for the party came of the hotel and waylaid the lady. They were kinda shouting and harassing the lady. So our security man (gateman) had to interfare, so he asked the young men if there was any problem. That was all he said o... The cult guys begin para for the security man. That whats he's business? And the security said, he's only trying to do his job. Na so them begin fight the security guy for no reason... Worst still, some of them standing in the compound started trooping out and had to join the fight against one person... I had to call for help for the guy, because me I can't join the fight, because I've been a victim of their brutality before. It didn't stop there o, them go beat one rival cultist (Aro) because of babe, them collect the guy phone and charger... The guy vex go call him own cartel, make them come epp am fight... But las las them settle the mata's between theirselves... Are the leaders of tomorrow?? The worst of the worst is, even kids are not left out. These guys are big time oppressors especially when you don't belong to any frat... Even the vigilante groups homelanders security here, are members of one frat... Some politicians will come and be dashing them money. We are doomed. |
