The Aba in Aba Ngwa does not have the same meaning as that in Ibibio. We have Aba all over Igboland.
Aba keleke
Aba Agana
Aba Omege
Aba Cha

Etc. Are they all Ibibio lands as well. What you did here is spread of falsehood. I can as well claim that Uyo is Igboland. We have streams all over Igboland called "Uyo". Does it make sense to you?

Abiriba means "Ebiri aba" which in Igbo means "If you live, you will become wealthy".
It was never Ibibio land. It was Igboland all from the very beginning as you can see from the name.

Ngwa means Ngwa Ngwa, which in English translates to Fast Fast! It's Igbo. The name came about when a group of Igbo people migrating from Imo to Abia suddenly became separated by a river. While one group was quick to cross the River before the River became impasseable, the other were busy roasting yam and by the time they were done roasting yam, they could no longer cross the River as the volume had grown.
Those who crossed the River (Imo) were called Ndi Ngwa Ngwa, meaning people who were fast, while those who were cut off by the river because they were roasting yam were called "Ndi Ohuhu ji".
In time, Ngwa Ngwa became Ngwa, while Ohuhu Ji became "Ohuhu".
This is the story of Ngwa. It has nothing to do with your Ibibio concocted stories.

Arochukwu has always been Igbo. They call themselves Okeigbo, meaning Great Igbo.
Yes, Arochukwu was established in a previously Ibibio land, but it was not straight forward. It was achieved by a Union between the Igbos, be Akpa (From Cross River) and some indigenous Ibibio people.
The Ibibio and Akpa elements were very minor and were quickly assimilated by the overwhelmingly Igbo population there.
Arochukwu means "God's spear". "Aro" means "spear" in Igbo. It has nothing to do with Ibibio.

No Igbo hate Ngwa or Arochukwu people, we are all Igbos, stop making things up.
Nsibidi belongs to Ejagham and not to Ibibios, you copied from Ejagham just like we did.

Ndiigbo who are neighbors to Ibibio borrowed some Ibibio culturally practices, such as Ekpo and Ekpe cults, it doesn't make them Ibibios, it's just what it is, they borrowed an aspect of your culture they feel is good.
Igbos close to Bini borrowed BIni cultural practices, Igbo close to Igala borrowed those of Igala.
But these were never one way traffic. Those Igbo neighbors including Ibibio also borrowed one or two things from Ndiigbo.

Other than Arochukwu, no Ibibio land is occupied by Igbos, but Efiks (Ibibio cousins) occupied and have now claimed parts of Igboland now in Odukpani LGA, and the Ibibios are still dragging parts of Ndoki land in Akirika.

Ngwa was not coined from “ngwa ngwa”. See, this is how stories get distorted and people start claiming/believing Ngwa is from Umunneoha. The same Umunneoha that was only founded during the later part of the Portuguese era, making them younger than Ngwa. Ngwa originally shared an autochthonous tradition with Ohuhu that they were created by Chileke Ohna. That Imo tale is an allegory to explain how the landmass was separated and our ethnonyms. Also, for the record, "ngwa" was not coined from "feather". In fact, the Ibibio and Annang word I know for "feather" is "ntaang", unless I don't know well, or there is an obscure dialect I'm unaware of.

@topic Ngwa occupied most of the region without any contact with Ibibio or Annang for centuries. The clashes that occurred happened after the Portuguese era. It was an on and off thing for centuries that eventually led to the establishment of a “no man’s land” zone between Ngwa and Annang/Ibibio. The reason for the clashes is that Annang wanted to expand. Prior to this forceful attempt at a secondary expansion, Annang and Ibibio etc were trading and interacting just fine at markets like Ohia Ukwu in Ohanze. As a result of the open trade legacy, there are some Annang and Ibibio who settlted and are now naturalized Ngwa. Also, many of us Ngwa in the former Obioma Ngwa area speak Ibibio and/or Annang as second languages. Annang's later attempt at forceful expansion was not met well by indigenous and naturalized Ngwa. By this time, Ikheohna and Uduagha militaristic mindset was well-developed. It was a relatively easy thing to push Annang back.

I'm inclined to believe that this history is where the main confusion is. British anthropologist or colonial officers like G. I. Jones made a great many assumptions, without asking the right questions. Yes, eastern Ngwa can be thought of as a fusion of Annang/Ibibio and Ngwa people. However, Jones and his fellow countrymen took it too far and assumed that the Ibeme and Mgbọkọ communities were the root of the fusion and that they were Ibibio, when they in fact were not and are not. If they had asked the right questions, they would have learned that Ibeme migrated from within or near the Ohambele community within Ikwueke clan in present day Ndoki, and that the Mgbọkọ are an offshoot from Abala Ibeme. Anyhow, long story short, Atouke, the information that you are trying to base your claim off of does not seem to be well-founded. Perhaps do some more holistic research.

While it is quite true that some border Igbo communities were formerly "Ibibioid", some of what you wrote is just plain ridiculous.

Why on earth would an ethnic grouping be called feather? You think because a word means something in YOUR language it must mean that same thing everywhere you see it?

Can I claim that Eko (Lagos) is Igbo because Eko means bellows in Igbo? Can I claim that Ikenne in Ogun state is Igbo because Ikenne means strength of the mother in Igbo?

Aba is a name that is found widely dispersed in Igboland in compound forms: Abateete (Aba Teghete, i.e., Nine Abas), Abakiliki (Aba Nkaleke, i.e., the Aba belonging to the Nkaleke clan) etc, and seems to be an archaic word that denotes settlement.

And by the way, YES, there are a few Igbo villages belonging to the Ndoki sub-ethnic group in Akwa Ibom State.

They are not Igbo villages, they came in as settlers, don't distort the truth.

Ibibio and Ibo are best of friends and they are more of cousins and in-laws today

They never enslaved them, the way Igbo language is with different dialects, is the same with Ibibio but the whole see themselves an igbo. That was quite different in Ibibio, there is even a proverb that Ibibio doesn't recognise its own, that's why the oron and annang, even if they are from the Ibibio always see themselves to an extent different.

The Igbo's came to arochukwu as usual to do business, they saw there was rivalry between step sons and used that opportunity to take over the place with the cooperation of the rivalling step son, some of the Ibibio people stayed back and others left.

You guys are known for land grabbing, even the people claiming Igbo in Akwa Ibom are settlers, the entire azumini river was Ibibio land, if not for the creation of Nigeria, the entire Akwa Ibom would have been Igbo land, they would come as traders and later start fighting for power. It was the same style Jaja used to collect territories. It's so funny today that Bonny that was a popular trade place for the british and was known for enslaving Igbo people is today being claimed as an Igbo land. You guys could be so funny. same with Igala land.

Arochukwu is a small town located at the Southern end of Abia State in Nigeria.
The Aros, as other Igbos, migrated from the Middle East to their present location in then Eastern Nigeria. You cannot mention Christopher Columbus who discovered America, without a short history of the Indians who owned the land. Also, in retrospect, the Aros came and won the land from the inhabitants, the Ibibios, after series of wars. These wars had a historic impact on the town. For instance, the leader of the Ibibio warriors who fought the war was captured and slain at Oro Village and this is why Oro became the chieftancy village. Amikpe Obinkita became the center where these defeated warriors were judged. This also is why all Aro villages assemble at Obinkita during the Ikeji festival. Any village that is not represented was fined by the entire Aro.
Arochukwu, sometimes referred to as Arochuku, or Aro-Okigbo, (pronounced Aruchukwu) is the third largest city in Abia State (after Aba and Umuahia) in southeastern Nigeria and homeland of the Igbosubgroup, Aro people. It is composed of 19 villages with an overall leader called Eze Aro. Arochukwu is a principal historic town in Igboland. It was also one of the cities in the Southern protectorate conquered by the British colonial government. Several historic tourist sites exist in the city. The mystic Ibini Ukpabi shrine, the slave routes and other relics of the slave trade era are frequently visited by tourists. It is also in the food belt of Abia state where most of the staple foods are produced.http://igbohistory..com/2015/10/history-of-arochukwu.html?m=1

Through Nnachi, an Eastern Cross river group answered the call for help. They were known as the Akpa. These warriors and traders, may have had European guns which were new to the Aro territory. Being the Igbo allies, the Akpas were led by the royal Nnubi family. Osim and Akuma Nnubi led Akpa soldiers to help fight against the ruling household. Together with Igbo forces and rebels, they defeated the Obong Okon Ita forces (1690). During the final battles, Osim Nnubi was slain in Oror city state making it the capital of Arochukwu. In Obinkita the remaining Ibibio warriors became prisoners and were judged and that is why the city state is the holder of the Ikeji festival. But at the end of the war, Osim and Akakpokpo were dead. In order to honor Osim's legacy, his brother Akuma was crowned the first EzeAro (king). After his death, Nnachi's descendants took the throne starting with his first son Oke Nnachi. The Arochukwu kingdom, was founded

You committed TREACHERY and not only that requested help from the Akpas ( Ekoi) to fight a chief that gave you lots sheltering and you call it defeat
In the world of bravery and honor it is called cowardice, deceit and treachery.
You can lie to yourself but not to that Ibibio clan and Ibibios in general.
