ProphetM0hammad:Thanks bro. I pray he doesn't come out and say different thing. Even if resumption is not this year, they should at least call the strike off. |

Fembleez1:Different schools will announce different resumption dates. ASUU have no business with that. 1 Like |

Phillyboi:Next meeting on Wednesday to finalize all agreements and *actually* suspend the strike. They'll take this offer back to their members. Not what the newspaper headlines are painting (though positive). 3 Likes |

SirWarlock:What offer again? Majority of the chapters already voted in favour of the 65B offer. What's the need to take another offer back to them again? ASUU is just buying time. Now the VCs can continue with the employment spree. I saw someone saying he was employed with 2.2. The Ghost workers Spaces have to be occupied. 2 Likes |

ProphetM0hammad:Well ASUU does whatever they feel like . Remember some zones while in favor were still adamant on seeing actual implementation. Plus it's more than just money matter , the issue of visitation and all that. And oh additional 5 billion for them . |
Re: Update On ASUU Review on the suspension of strike by Phillyboi(m): 12:33am On Nov 28, 2020 |
SirWarlock:I read from someone on here that ASUU won't call off till after implementation of which they've given the FG a timeframe . So if they call it off next week Friday , does it mean FG has started implementation already? |
Re: Update On ASUU Review on the suspension of strike by SirWarlock: 12:39am On Nov 28, 2020 |
Phillyboi:well it could be. FG has to be totally unserious if they haven't started some sort of implementation. The salary arrears timeframe is from now till December so there's a bit of time there Basically both parties see eye to eye now, just that they're dragging their feet with all this their protocols . I expect them call it off earlier than Friday though . |

SirWarlock:back to the executives not members. members have spoken and accepted 65bn. the executives are to consider other factors while they also await alert to suspend the strike. all these should happen on or before Wednesday when they'll be meeting again 1 Like 1 Share |

SirWarlock:From this i can draw a conclusion that both parties are not serious at all. They still want to chop into next again. Then wetin remain again for this year to finish. They should leave it next year |

Re: Update On ASUU Review on the suspension of strike by godforus(m): 1:47pm On Dec 01, 2020 |
khalidx:And if they are to call it off on 4th december which is friday, most schools will convene senate meeting on wednesday in order to fix new academic calendar and propose a date for resumption. (They can't meet on monday because some of the senate members may have to travel down to the school). Then when a new calendar and resumption date is announced, students will have to be given time to journey because federal schools consitute students from different starws, nothing less than 1week for their safe travels down. By this time it is already second week of December and getting towards 19-20th December. It is either students resume this year and attend lectures on 24th december as well as 27th december after boxing day, skip 1st january and attend 2nd january. Or schools wind up the year and resume around 6th january, giving students 2nd-4th to journey from their villages back to school. 1 Like |
