Please can anyone explain to me, if its possible for someone to use your account number and sim card to withdraw money from your account. In a POS without your ATM?

No it's not possible.
If the person wants to buy something online,he needs your ATM,if he wants to do transfer on phone,he needs your son registered to your account and USSD password (Not ATM password). If the person wants to use internet transfer he needs your login details and password.
So no one can transfer money from your account by just knowing your account number and phone number

ooh!! Thanks for this response. The money in my grandma's account in village just disappeared,and they are trying to tell her that it is where she normally charges her phone,that someone took her sim and from there, got to know her account number and withdraw the money in her account .I found it difficult to understand thou..thanks

I am sure she doesn't go to ATM to withdraw herself. She asks people to. Those close to her, probably live in the same house and who she do send to help her withdraw are suspects here. One of them stole her ATM,and withdraw her money since he or she already knew her password.

Yes she doesn't go to the ATM herself,my uncle does that for her and he is always with the ATM,but he is saying he never used it. So everyone concluded it was someone else that did it. But i doubted it.

it is possible cos a friend of mine had such experience some months ago. where he always used to withdraw from tru pos. he discovered a debit of 5k from the pos without visiting the place. he later called the person in charge of the pos centre. he now apologized that it was a network failure and after some minutes,he credited his account back.
Assuming he dnt knw the number of the pos centre,that means his money don go be dat

You said has been visiting there, so it could be an error. In this case, can a stranger just withdraw money from your account just for having your sim card and knowin your account number?

what if the uncle used one of those fraudulent post center before and the pos man later deducted the money like the example given?
