Bro it’s the marital status. Yoruba believe someone of your age should have married and should be responsible to a family. This is the war I’m currently facing with my uncle who’s about to lose his job... he’s getting old but has refused to marry and his Yoruba boss is ready to kick him out. PS. We’re also Yoruba from his state. OcVoice: |

TPound: And it is FALSE The ideal thing for most serious companies is to give their candidates their tp and feeding tips whenever they come for interviews Go and ask people who were in Nigeria in the late 1980s how companies treated them then. |

Move on bro... It's not your fall... It's a call you can stand without being held in the hand by anyone. Continue being your own boss and you'd know how cool it is in the days to come. |

We blame white people for racism but here in Nigeria we practice sectionalism, ethnicity and tribalism. How are we different from them? 1 Like |

That’s the thing and that’s my current search too, cos I’m of the age to have at least 2 kids... Imagine when you’re paid almost a million with no one to share the money with... The words I don hear this past week is something... They believe if you can’t manage a family, coexist with other people, how will you manage people under you? That’s the thing oo so no tribal thing cos any tribe could behave like that as long as it’s a strategic position. OcVoice: 1 Like |

. TRIBALISM and RELIGIOUS sentiments are two evils hindering Nigeria's progress. Sometimes, it's easier for Nigerians to excel in far away US, UK and Canada. OP, you lost the job at No: 6 when the Chairman told you "but you don't have the passport, you're ibo". I have just returned from a house inspection with an agent who informed me the landlord insists on a Yoruba tenant. Now, I'm neither IBO nor Yoruba nor Hausa but the Yoruba landlord wouldn't listen. As long as I'm not Yoruba nor Hausa, he assumes I'm IBO. I told him my state but he insists 'omo Ibo'. The hatred for Ibos among Yoruba landlords is becoming disgusting. . 1 Like |

OcVoice: Yoruba's don't employ Igbo's in their place of work period. You grew up with n Lagos, you should have known that bro. Be strong and move on. |
Re: I Just Lost A Very Big Job Opportunity by Generalnomercy: 2:15pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
chozzy: Any establishment owned by a Yoruba will never and can never employ an Igbo. But the foolish Igbo's employs Yoruba's and even give them their business secrets. Igbos are indeed very foolish. People who don't even know how much they are hated by Yorubas. |
