China was once a shithole until it was factory resetted by European imperialism, civil war and communism but they rebranded communism in Confucius style.

Japan too was once a shithole too until it was resetted by European imperialism but they quickly learn and adapted using European knowledge and Japanese spirit(Meji era) and even were among bullying China in their lowest time.

Africa I will say is in the timeline of imperialism/civil strife because we have not fully understood ourselves, too many tribes and religions bring distrust making unity almost impossible which the foreigners and corrupt ignorant ones exploit heavily on.

It will only take a single event to change this.
