2008 rav4 is a nice cuv and will serve you well if you used the correct oil, engine oil and atf, and stick with factory recommendations and maintenance schedules. Personally, I only use synthetic oil and it must be 5w30, ATF is ws. I don't know why people don't like v6. V6 ironically is more fuel economical with muscle than the 4 cylinders, especially if you do long distance travel, except u do mainly city driving. With the v6 you can still get very good mileage, just drive like grand pa/ma who doesn't see well . Don't get beyond 1500 rmp. The 2gr in rav4 is basically bulletproof and it's very nimble, but if you insist on i4 cylinders, get the 2009. I don't trust that 2.4 engines that comes with rav4 and camry.

I own the V6 4WD model, it's a reliable car. Make sure you use correct fluids as specified in the manual. Concerning fuel consumption, are you comparing with what vehicle cause it's relative. I only have V6 so my judgement may not be ok for you with respect to fuel consumption.

It's has very quick acceleration and moves very fast.

I've changed the steering rack, was making knocking sound though drivable,
some suspension components due to naija roads.

Buy the 2 plugs model... it doesn't need fuel at all just put water and move.

Honestly I don't know that because it's not the only vehicle I drive. Not too concerned with fuel. You don't check fuel consumption that way. Your 30mins to work and my 30mins drive may not be same considering traffic. If you actually need the RAV4 and are so much concerned with fuel consumption, buy the I4 version or better still look for a vehicle that has less than 2cc engine capacity.

2000cc or 2L, Corolla, civic, Yaris , some new SUVs have turbo engines that are in this category ford escape, Honda CR-V

Is It any year model of these cars you mentioned have this 2l engine . Like 2007 to 2020 model of the cars you mentioned

Normally lower. Check sites like edmunds.com or try Google and you'll see plenty cars by year and engine capacity. Fuel efficiency is nice when buying a car but also consider reliability and availability of parts in your locality.

The body doesn’t hold up that much. I think that model of Rav4 is mostly v6, if that’s the case then more consumption

Don’t worry, just enjoy your car away, you’d get used to it. Would advice you do an i4 since you’re very particular about fuel economy. Just ensure the oxygen sensor is in place.
Shouldn’t necessarily stress the life out of you. Days you don’t have fuel and you’re economizing, just hop on a commercial vehicle.

You wanna buy a car of 2 million plus.... fuel economy come be your problem... every caelr de chop fuel.....how muvh dem de sell fuel sef... remember say na car way you wan buy no be Generator.....
