So they warned the FG not to accept ASUU's platform, while equally stating that they had developed a platform of their own. huh
They are also demanding N100 billion. huh
All this is because of ASUU's unrelenting struggle. What sort of witchcraft is this.
I hope someone informs them that even the N70bn that FG promised ASUU, 1penny hasn't been seen.

My brother You are right. This this WITCHCRAFT

Are you suggesting that NAAT should not make their own demands, even if it is a rightful demand?
It is within their rights to make their demands. They should do so without denigrating the demand of others. Las, las, we know that the FG is the hand behind the scene.

Very stupîd assertion...
It may not be. NAAT could fight its course without commenting on the struggles of others. NAAT has members who have not received salaries for months owing to IPPIS. Why not concentrate on your own struggle? Do you hear ASUU mentioning other unions during her struggles? Is UTAS a hindrance to their own proposed payment platform? so why the fuse? What does it benefit NAAT if UTAS fails? Nothing. For that reason, it is easier to presume that the unseen hands of FG may be doing something somewhere.

Mr. Have you ever asked yourself if the government can meet all these demands from every union? Or is it also part of your fundamental human right to be stupid always?
The government should always live up to their promises.
They signed an agreement, they should honor it.

And you think if they don't go on strike the FG will listen to them? ASUU have every right, they are fighting in the interest of students, if not because of ASUU do you think everyone will afford to go to higher institution? and look at the dilapidated state of federal universities, the government doesn't give a damn a bit, they only care about syphoning funds, looting everything.
Stop saying this trash. Which students is assu fighting for. Tell me how they issue at hand will benefit students. Assu remains the most selfish union in Nigeria today. It's all for their pockets.

But honestly ASUU is very selfish here, why so much fight over the means of payment, so if i am the ceo my stafs will want me to give them money to be paying themselves?

Shaa na we the student de suffa am
Because the payment platform violates an existing law of the land.

Your last comment has been rendered moot. I can confirm that lecturers are receiving alerts. It was a huge shock to me but this strike has taught me that force must be applied to anything we do in this country. Without that force, FG wouldn't have coughed out anything

Attention seekers.

71bn earned allowance from where?

If FGN success in paying the current 40bn earned allowance for all unions what will be left of earned allowance claim for all unions from 2009 to 2016 is 40bn. The claim for 2017 to 2020 has not been verified; it is currently being computed and collated with aim of mainstreaming it into 2021 budget. How did they arreive at 71bn earned allowance then?

100bn for laboratories?

The revitalization fund being fought for by ASUU is not the union's creation. It is based on the report of 2012 NEEDS assessment of public universities. The assessment includes your almighty laboratories also.

They should learn how to run union from real unionists.

Trash as usual. The reason our federal insti6are the esu they are is because of ASUU's selfishness and incessant strike. You hold a contrary view either you belong to ASUU or you benefit from their mindless behaviour. without ASUU, federal institutions would be much better, producing better graduates. This is why they all should key in to IPPIS and resolve any issue surrounding it.
I'm afraid students will still feel the heat next year

ASUU is the problem with Nigeria's education, a bunch of selfish people. Only interested in holding on to several jobs while graduates roam the streets without jobs. Whether students spend 8 years for a 4 year course does not matter to them. Just going on strike and claiming we are fighting for students. Useless union. All the strikes in the past, tell me how student have benefited from it.
You mention Ghana, go to Ghana, South Africa and the likes, have you been there and see how Nigerian students fill those institutions? Are they more equipped than Nigeria's?
You and ASUU destroyed Nigerian Universities. Every sector of our nation doesn't get adequate funding, that is a known fact. Imagine the primary schools, hospitals, etc going on these mindless strikes. gooooshhhh!

Idiotic unions. So, for the past one year that ASUU had been in loggerheads with government about miserable IPPIS, your union went ahead to key into it while ASUU suffer hunger throughout those periods.
Did your useless union ever approach government on alternative payroll system before now? ASUU labour to engage government with empty stomach so as to build better payroll platform but your union keep on receiving amputated salaries, mocking ASUU. Now that ASUU is about to win the Fulani war, you want to now reap where you didn't sow. Union without good leaders. Go and Stop UTAS if you can. Awon we re unions NAAT, NASU SANU or sansa. mtwww!
You are so right! Where were they from the get-go?

Had it been there is a platform that people use to express their agitations to FG, it would have been better because, the FG will be frustrated with peoples agitation and would want to do something about it....Because, commenting here is nothing but a waste of time and energy.
Stupid set of people handling very vital position that applies to people's emotion.

NAAT cannot dictate for ASUU. I do not know why NAAT should be giving the job of grading student. Lecturer are supposed to be in charge of engineering student laboratory as part of their lecture assignment to connect the dot between the theories taught in class and practical engineering.

The current setting produces a substandard student quality. Never saw anywhere in the western world this is allowed!
