Aisha Yesufu Accuses Govt Of Sponsoring Thugs Who Disrupted #EndSARS Protest (Video)

Co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement Aisha Yesufu has raised a fresh allegation against the government, saying it sponsored hoodlums who disrupted the #EndSARS protest against police brutality in October, Igbere TV reports.

The protest began peacefully until hoodlums took over and began attacking private and public property.

Mrs Yesufu told Arise Tv in an interview on Tuesday that the government was to blame for the destruction that followed the protest.

“#EndSARS protest was never hijacked by hoodlums. Government brought in hoodlums. Why is the media so scared to say this simple fact,” she asked in a video released after she lost internet connection with the broadcast station.

Yesufu has been one of the vocal voices for the #EndSARS campaign.

There have been calls in some quarters for the resumption of the #EndSARS protest.

Police and the military were deployed to Lekki toll gate in Lagos on Monday to forestall the resumption of protest. The protest, however, held in Osun and Abuja.
