Well at some point you have to accept you can't beat an adult.

Besides I have met many African males who haven't beaten their wives. And they are still clearly in charge of their households.

Thing is, beating is wrong. If you are having issues with your wife, then either you didn't do due diligence in looking for the right kind of woman, or you are not ready to learn how to communicate properly in marriage .Or you have an issue with your temper, and acting in anger.
