....really? Don't make unreasonable comparison with UK, USA. Canada because standard of living to Nigeria is not the same.

My dear, I agree 100% wit u. As an undergraduate then, we were paying 0ne hundred and fifty naira then all of a sudden, it waz increased 2 a thousand plus. U bedded 2 see d struggle and protest till it waz brought down 2 two hundred and fifty naira. Still yet, students were still complaining. Na d two hundred and fifty naira I use graduate.

This is like the cheapest i hv ever heard for a state university in southern Nigeria!
Even for the 67k it's still the cheapest i know of currently!
IMSU jacked theirs to about 120k as far back as 2012 by Rochas.
Even federal Universities in the East are not left out

UI is the cheapest University in Nigeria but the hardest to gain admission.

New students pays 20-25k.old students pays 19-23k. in the finals you pay 30k.

My LASU school fees from 1996-2000 was N240 for Arts Department and N260 for Science and Engineering..

But sha, I would collect N10k from Baba Titi and of course I would pay the school fees of my boyfriend and 3 of his flatmates!

Then blow the rest on clothes, weave-on and jewelry..

Chai.. I hope my children are not reading this

Not withstanding that things are hard, if education is considered important ,securing N67k over the course of 1 year is doable. Both by the parent and the student too. In the 50's our parent hacked, sold firewood etc and still schooled and made it.

Is 25k for a term or a year. If it's a term it's too small. 25k can't get you quality education.
Left for me the government should subsidise technical education and stop subsidizing tertiaries.
To me tertiary education is self serving unless u are a doctor or engineer, architect etc. But technical education tend to bolster the service sector. For example what's the importance of political science or psychology or history and literature to the Nigerian economy?

remember wen I was seeking for admission during 2015, me n my friend uche did jamb d same day n both passed d cut off n was given admission BT uche cudnt further bcox of funds..
he wwnt to learn tailoring n his uncle gave him one of his big shops to work in....
last year, an old friend dt finished since 2017 n still job hunting with b.s.c told me dt he av started learning work as one of uche boys n dts wen I started thinking if u made d right choice..
uche is not made yet BT he rented a self contain in lag this feb, finshed par time studies in yaba-tech since last year, also heard dt he is now building a ous in his village n even planning abt getting married next year while am still in stagnancy after years in skul with no hope 4 job even wen am done unlike my friend uche..
av started learning work dis year BT gat limited time bcoz of school tinz and assuming I can take back hands of time, I WOULD AV JOINED UCHE'S PLAN bcoz education in naija seems like a useless key without a door...

So, in Nigeria of today, you think one can be going into bush, fetching firewood to sell and combining such hectic and low rewarding job in Nigeria of today, and will be able to pay #67,000 per annum....asides accomodation and feeding huh
