I’m about to get an appointment letter to work in Nigeria correctional service (prison) though I didn’t apply for the job.
According to my findings online they are not allowed to grow beards.
Now here are my questions, is there anyway one can keep his beard while working there and how much is the salary of a Degree holder?
Please help me with answers so that I can make up my mind thanks.

There is medical condition that makes constant saving injurious. Members of NA who can provide medical certificate of such can keep their beard.

But I am sure in ur case na forgery or bribery u go fit get get am. Hence cut the beard.

But come oo. U get beard u no get money. U no get job. And u are still complaining about getting them without your beard. Wtf has the beard gave u anyway?

No beards is allowed as you must appear clean. You can always keep moustache but very low ones. As per the allowee I don't know but it's a federal job I think. I love beards a lot but I don't have, I just have some tiny ones like whiskers of a cat. I wish I can grow them. Congratulations on your new job brother man.

It's over worth it. Though it depends on your level and with time, as you get promoted, your salary will also Increase. Free housing all through your service and as a young chap you might retire earning up to a million with which your gratuity and pension will be worked. Most importantly, the job is secured and pension is constant. My dad received his pensions till his dyiing days without hitches.


Don't look at the now. Look at the future. You may also need to run some courses to speed up your promotion and get you up there in a short time. My dad did a lot of courses those days and it really helped him Climbed up fast in Rank.

Lastly, its about you And what you want. If you don't feel up to it, don't do it!

Nah so one of my area brother got federal appointment this year also.
He bought a brand new car within 6 months.

Many people have gotten jobs without applying.
If someone wants to help you he will just submit your full name, once you collect your appointment letter you will then write an application letter for formality before documentation.

Do your finding pleas. i have a friend who has been working with Correctional Service since 2017, he tells me everything about the Job. although the Job is unpleasant, be u an officer or recruit. u guard Prisoners together irrespective of ur Rank. he hates the uniform with passion but he loves the cash, thats more Importantan

If you enter as a graduate, your remuniration will be high. And as you climb up in level ( as a graduate) your pay will be increased based on your qualification. Now we are talking about 35 years of service. Even if the promotion comes every three years, it's still possible.

All slaves must shave their beards, same goes to prisoners. This Egyptian culture we have now adopted to the extent that they could conduct deliverance for you in certain churches if you carry a beard.
