Wow..congratulations to u too..

MrAAA2:

It's good that they are opening to Cat B candidates.
You mean all that questions?
I did not even have time to prepare for my interview in Dubai and wasn't even asked what my name was! The only question asked was:
Can I have your documents?
Other comments by the VO were:
You may have to take a seat for about 20 mins while I field in you information.
Can I have the money for the visa fee (75 EUR equivalent)?
We will contact you in about 4 weeks.
...
I only said:
Thank you.
Will that be all? She smiled and replied yes.
I acted surprised asking 4 weeks? My lectures ought to have begun by then already. She replied, that's not my fault, you applied late and the issuance of visa comes from Germany and there was nothing she could do.
Again I said, thank you as I retrieve my original documents and said to her, I will have to take a seat again and arrange these papers. She replied, okay fine!
I just waka comot pondering whether it was a good or bad interview until the AM and the Visum!

Keep striving pals.

Hey guys, pls this is my first time here. someone told me that if you get a scholarship for masters degree, then you don't need to put money in the Germany acct (block account), how true is this? he said the money is abt 3mill naira. How can one get scholarships?? pls responses are needed. Thanks
If you have scholarship, you won't have to pay the blocked amount whuch is about €10300( currently #4.7mil using official rate of 480).
You can check daad.de for scholarships using the below link. Just filter the database according to your course of study.

Please one more question, can you work while schooling, even when you get scholarship too?
Well, the daad scholarship pays €861 monthly as upkeep and with this, they expect one to concentrate on studies without getting divided between work and study...but they actually allow work and study once you can prove it won't affect your studies as seen in the picture attached below.
Also, this link takes you to faqs about the scholarship.
You will learn alot if you take your time to go through it.

But you won't get Euros at official rate for block accout, will you? So, just do your calculations based on parallel rates.

Yea true..but I thought banks still offer close to the official rate with the Form A ..maybe #20 higher
Maybe I'm mistaken.

Well, at black market rate of #580, that's about #6 mil (5,974,000)

We'll have to confirm that. But I'm not sure that banks have foreign currency to exchange over the counter. What I have heard is that you will have to source your Euro from the parallel market, and the bank only makes the transfer for you at a fee.

I'd like anyone who has done this recently to pls share their experience.

And by the way, the fact that the naira value of block account requirement has gone from about 4m to 6m within 2 yrs makes me very angry. It makes me wanna slap the handlers of our economy. The most inept people to ever grace this earth. It is just appalling to be honest

To study masters or bachelor's.
I don't think there are age limit to study in German universities, provided you can justify the Gaps.
Record has it that there are a lot of old graduates in Germany.

Wow, tough tbh. You need to prove to the VO why you want to do a bachelor at 38. Your chances are very very slim tbh.. even for a Msc
