Don't listen to such discouragement, there is nothing like slim chance with your age.. You are good to go, provided you have all requirements..

People just open their mouth and say anything like he or she is the consulate General of german embassy or the embassy is his or her father's office without even knowing anything about how German's do their thing

It's Canada that look at age limits, Germany doesn't provided your reasons are genuine and you have relevant work experience to cover up gaps
I know a 32years old person doing bachelor's in a german university.
People should try to provide information that isn't misleading here.

Why Germany and not UK or USA

Why not Nigeria

Who was the President of Germany before Dr Frank Walter S.

What is the party of the current president of Germany

Which day is celebrated way back in history as Germany's bla bla bla (I had to ask her, do you mean the reunification day)...she said yes....

Happy Sunday guys,

When coming to Germany, aside the excitement of running away from Nigeria, please prepare yourself mentally for the months to come, you will not only be faced with loneliness and dark grey weather, you may also experience SAD (seasonal affective disorder) please try to connect to others who are on here.

Update: I recently moved to Berlin from a smaller town hoping that capital city might make a difference. OYO for me.

Please move to cities where you have friends. People here are very uptight and individualist. Don't end up like me. Corona doesn't even help either

Thank You

Well, the daad scholarship pays €861 monthly as upkeep and with this, they expect one to concentrate on studies without getting divided between work and study...but they actually allow work and study once you can prove it won't affect your studies as seen in the picture attached below.
Also, this link takes you to faqs about the scholarship.
You will learn alot if you take your time to go through it.

https://www.daad.de/en/study-and-research-in-germany/scholarships/important-information-for-scholarship-applicants/

Bro, please have you seen or heard of someone that have gotten any of these scholarships. I don't really have that much to fund a block account and I rely solely on scholarship. I've checked daad website, but haven't found any that met my intended course of study. The one I saw insisted that I must have at least B2 German language proficiency, which I don't have. Please if you know of any scholarship that I can apply, please tell me. Thanks.

Someone on this thread claimed to have been awarded around feb/march this year.
About the language, not all ask for German language proficiency.
Some place emphasis on meeting language requirement by the universities you wish to make use of the scholarship. So if the University you chose seeks english proficiency, then that's what you need for the scholarship application.
I hope people who have gone through this path clarify this.
To make it easier, this link shows scholarships available to nigerians. Filter according to your course/programme.

https://www2.daad.de/deutschland/stipendium/datenbank/en/21148-scholarship-database/?status=3&origin=165&subjectGrps=&daad=&intention=&q=&page=1&back=1

Going through the results, I found one that requires English lang but you must check other boxes like minimum of 2 years experience and for another one (SBW scholarship), you must have at least 2.0 grade on German scale with volunteer work experience.

** Kosky & Segzysexy got daad scholarship. I hope they assist with the information you need.

What they actually need is professional experience and it may take a lot of packaging to use driving/ running a phone shop as a valid experience...except your programme tilts towards those.
If it's related to marketing, then phone selling can be well packaged to highlight your selling skills.
So, which programme are you applying For?

Generally speaking, the professional experience should be related to what you're applying to study.

I cannot think of any programme where taxi driving will be relevant.
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by fancyto(m): 8:04pm On Dec 14, 2020
Please taxi driver/Uber driver is no skill and I a not sure it doesn't tally to what you studied in school.
I Wont advise anyone to add such skill set in his or her CV.
That's alone might reduce your chances of getting a visa
