alll becos we want to escape the uselessness of our system/leaders/political class, just imagine how much we are loading into other economies, so we can have free access to europe and america where we can also spend more of our fortune, where we can push our children to live and work causing more brain drain for our dear country ........THIS COUNTRY WILL NEVER RECOVER, NO BE CURSE...imagine these monies getting circulated within the Nigerian economy, , even if it is stolen, the stealer should spend it inside this naija economy..and ofcourse this 1bn dols doesnt capture lots of millions of dollars and euros our people pay for contract marriage to get passport, money that can be invested back home if all was well

Buhari has turned the whole of Nigeria to IDP that everyone is trying hard to escape from it

Guy you made my laughter burstout...." IDP country ".

Corruption destroyed this country not PMB, moreover PMB is also a victim of corruption & nepotism. Let's unite & end this corruption for our better tomorrow.

Hmm, everybody is running fast out of this country. Imagine, people will spend their hard time working to make money in this country only to use the same money to run out of this country. That should tell you a lot. Even those who are making money in this country are not happy with the system, everybody is just suffering and smiling.

Scariest part is Nigeria will still get worse than it currently is.

If you check well, 90% of them are politicians.
They know the havoc they've wreaked on the economy and they've seen a sample of how quickly the tables can turn against them that's why they're following Dieziani's footsteps by buying foreign citizenship...

It is not surprising. It is very important to have a backup country even if you are comfortable in Nigeria at the moment. I wish Nigeria will be better but the reality is that it can't. If you have what it takes, get a second citizenship now. It is a wise investment.

is there any great black country? There is NONE - shameless black people trying to run to other countries to reap where they did not sow. Why not immigrate to Kenya, Mozambique or Botswana? Always going to Europe and America and white nations. inferior people!

Tribalism, religion, and nepotism are killing the black man.

Please let's split Nigeria in peace.

This country is not working and we all know it.

A country where everyone is looking for an opportunity to defraud it can never succeed.

Chinua Achebe recalled that many people who worked for Biafra during the war did it without asking for pay. If people are not willing to sacrifice for their country, that country is finished.

Rich Nigerians don't know that people made sacrifices with their lives to take those places they are running to where they are today. Nigerians don't have patriotism; we are only interested in wrecking the country for our personal gains.

Over the 60 year period of Nigeria's "independence", a handful of approx 8000 - 10000 ministers, senators, governors, presidents etc..(most of which are recycled into the position of power over and over again), have destroyed a highly promising nation, stolen our wealth and subjected 200+million citizens to poverty, frustration and lack.

These same individuals have then used stolen wealth to purchase citizenship of other nations for themselves and their families, thus leaving the masses to wallow in a state of hopelessness.

Hmmm.

Our problem stems more from population explosion than what you mentioned. Our source of income has increased little over the years whereas our population has increased astronomically. India is our partner while China controlled theirs for 3 decades with child bearing limit. You can see the difference when you compare China, India and Nigeria.

The rush to escape Nigeria due to Covid makes no sense. Covid has been less destructive in southern Nigeria than most places.
