please am trying to pay for my visa fee, but my card getting decline, does anyone know the other way i can pay this visa fee?

Sorry for the late reply

Apparently, most Naira ATM cards have been declining international transactions. You may have to contact someone currently living in Canada to assist with the payment of your application fees.

After about a year of pursuing my work permit, I am happy to announce that I finally have my passport in my hands.

It's been a nerve-racking journey. Unfortunately, I only found this group last month. I wish I have found it earlier because there is just too much valuable information here.

One thing I can do for those that will come after me is these:

1. If you need to pay for school fees and your card is not going, I can help you pay from next year
2. If you are coming to Toronto and need a place to stay for at most two weeks, I can accommodate you from the 26th of December this year
3. If you need a friend in Toronto to gist with, to cruise with and to have fun with, I will be available for you after my quarantine

I have benefitted a lot from this group and I will like to pay it forward.

If you are ever transiting through Toronto and need a place to crash, let me know. I am paying for a 1 bedroom + Den in Toronto after I leave quarantine and I will be glad to accommodate you as long as it is not more than two weeks.

I am travelling using Ethiopian Airlines on December 25th and I have already booked a whole apartment for quarantine. Anyone is free to stay with me during that 2 weeks.

It has ended in praise peeps.

i got the inititive as well from some guys i met here on this platform. GIC is a surer way of proofing POF since it shows the availaibity of the funds when in canada.
deepwater:

Yes i do know of someone in Nigeria who got the GIC from CIBC
As recent as October

Just so you know, we pioneered it as it was originally been enjoyed by only 4 Asain countries before now.

You can send a mail to CIBC they will respond fast in their working time

Please this is urgent, I have someone that needs this info.

Thank you.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Chocs(f): 7:37pm On Dec 16, 2020
COVID-19 test is not required. You only need your ArriveCAN receipt. The receipt you get after submitting your details via the ArriveCAN app/website.

Hello,

The eagle finally landed a few minutes ago. I didn't get UPS tracking but I knew it was in transit after the full day phone wahala with VFS on Monday. I got 5 emails from them in the last 48 hours and my application status changed twice on the VFS platform during the same period.

I got a call just before 9am and I knew it was the UPS delivery man. I cut off an international call (with a friend in New Zealand) to pick up. Lo and behold, I was right. I rushed to the street junction to meet him. I only showed my ATM cards and old national ID and he was satisfied. After I signed for it, I went to the ATM and dashed him "5 Pieces of Cowries". The guy wanted to disappear into thin air.

To God be the Glory. Montreal here we come! To those expectant, your joys shall be fuller very soon.

Thanks for clearing this up. There is this notion here that if you graduated with a 2.1, you must/should go for an M.Sc.

For the Ethiopian airline, wouldn't you be needing a transit visa at stop overs? Pls ask well, transit visa always cause wahala after boarding o...

You don't need transit visa if you are not leaving the airport. You only need one if you layover is more than 8 hours

i don't have email i used to apply, can i use another one to mail them concerning upfront medical

I too used a different email address for my upfront medical booking. The address I used for my application is a bit too long (a combination of first name, middle name, and surname @gmail.com), so to avoid errors, I had to use another email address, a very short one, while booking the medical via phone call.

I do not see how that will impede the progress of your application.

Still on the Ethiopian airline stuff. Is there a need for Enrollment Letter becuase I don't have that yet. My school said I have to resume before I can register and get it.

Please I need help on this.

Thank you.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Lekiboboe: 8:28pm On Dec 16, 2020
I be wan ask a question oo

Something dey confuse me for here

There are two Visa Stamps on my Eagle

FIRST PAGE is CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE, some contents were cancelled with dark ink, while some were left e.g Date of Issue, Issued at, Category, No of entries etc.

SECOND PAGE is clean but noticed some of the contents were quite different from the first page

Saw two years in the first page e.g 6/10/2020 to 28/9/2022, Multiple

Saw One year in the second page e.g 14/11/2020 to 29/11/2021, Multiple

What does this signify?

What does MULTIPLE mean?

Thanks
