I'm a man. I never lived in Nigeria and I don't think y'all are any better. You're mentioning flowers as if you don't see American men buying expensive jewelries for their women. American men respect their women. They don't try to control them or try to turn them into house chore machines. They contribute to home keeping and most importantly, they don't go around calling anyone they see OLOSHO. African men are control freaks and they try to cage women while they explore the world. You wanting your women to be like American women but not willing to be like American men is delusional. Men receive these gifts in the US cause they put themselves a position that makes it clear they also have needs. African men are 'the bosses', they shouldn't expect to be treated otherwise.

Am only following up ur response that d guys celebrating American ladies haven't been to d states just as u have never been to Nigeria. So if u say u haven't been to Nigeria yet u no d culture because of ur relatives, then how can u then claim that d guys who celebrate American ladies don't no d culture when u don't no if they have relatives in d US?

Now, u are saying that ur relatives treat their wives right because they embrace western culture. Pls is it all westerners that cook for their wives? Since u have never been to Nigeria how can u be sure that we don't men in Nigeria who buy gifts for their wives& girlfriends and cook for them? Or do ur relatives now have a knowledge of what transpires in every home & relationship in Nigeria?

So since u say generalisation shouldn't be used as a basis to.judge d generosity of American women, how come u are now generalising nigerian men just because u are on nairaland for 10years& ur relatives are nigerians? Have u ever been in Nigeria & interacted with a Nigerian lady in Nigeria? Can ur relationship with ur relatives make up for that experience u have never had with a Nigerian lady? Have u ever encountered a Nigerian man in Nigeria and observed him first hand here in Nigeria? Can ur relatives adequately make up for d deficiency in ur first hand experience about what transpires in Nigeria?
You keep running around. I never said one needs to live in a location to know about the culture. I mentioned different ways we can know about a culture without necessarily living in the place where the culture is practiced. And to emphasize my point, I said even those who talk about American women haven't been to America too. That was my response to your question regarding how I got to know about Nigerian men if I haven't lived in Nigeria. Surprisingly, you're still asking questions like "how did you know this if you haven't lived in Nigeria". Stop running in circles, we've both established that one does not have to live in Nigeria to know about Nigerians just like one does not have to live in the US to know about Americans. I've told you how I know everything I know about Nigeria: I've visited Nigeria, I've spent a decade on this platform, I watch Nollywood and read Nigerian contents online, I have Nigerian parents and relatives, etc.

Not all American men treate their wives like my father and not American women buy gifts like Cardi B too. So saying Nigerian women should be like thier American counterparts just because of Cardi is where the generalization started. And if we're going by that, then Nigerian men should also be like my father. My point is, if we are dropping generalization, let's drop it for both genders and be sensible. But if you agree with those shouting Nigerian women should be like American women then you have no logical reason to counter me when I say Nigerian men should also treat women like my father

You are asking if I've ever encountered a Nigerian man in Nigeria for a first hand study. The same you agreed with me that people don't need to live in the US to know about American women. Why are you running in circles? Have all those NL boys shouting Nigerian women should be like American women had any experience with American women? Do they think it's all about gifts? Have they asked themselves why Nigerian men in the US go back home to look for wives? Well, like I said in the second post you quoted, I've visited Nigeria a couple of times.

Bros, these are ur exact words that supports location determining knowledge of culture:

"Your questions make little to no sense when you consider the fact that the majority of those who are saying Nigerian girls should be like their American counterparts haven't lived in the US too."

Here's ur first comment that was full of generalisations. D same generalisations u say shouldn't be applied in assessing d generosity of American women:

"I'm a man. I never lived in Nigeria and I don't think y'all are any better. You're mentioning flowers as if you don't see American men buying expensive jewelries for their women. American men respect their women. They don't try to control them or try to turn them into house chore machines. Am not going round in circles. Am only pointing out how u feel others are incompetent to talk about American women when they haven't lived in d US but u feel u are competent to generalise about nigerian men just because ur relatives are nigerians despite u haven't lived in Nigeria.

Now ur story has changed from "I have never lived in Nigeria" to "I have visited nigeria a couple of times".

So since u are saying no more generalisations, it's obvious that because ur parents & relatives are nigerians, u watch Nollywood and read Nigerian contents online or u have been on nairaland for 10years, doesn't give u adequate knowledge of nigerian men & women as relates to d subject matter as u earlier claimed. If d gentlemen who generalised about Americanan women strayed in their assessment by generalising, it didn't serve ur argument much good by also generalising when u had d same shortcomings as they did

grin Exactly! Women will always want guys with more resources. Every lady wants to secure the bag. Black or white.

Recently, I followed a break up story and some leaked chats of a white lady and a black guy.

First slide was the lady telling the guy to send her an Uber and the second slide was the guy saying he booked a flight for her. The lady didn't even say thank you. She straight up told him he hasn't sent the money he promised to give her mom. grin As a good person, I intensified my prayers for our NL boys who want to date or marry white ladies.

Again, it depends on the individual. All Nigerian girls do not have the same character. Likewise whites.

More beauty? Hmmmm. grin Since you all want women with more beauty, I think it's time to go under that knife. grin
No two individuals even have the same pattern of life. Yes some characters may be similar but they all can't be same.

Everything depends on the individual although there are traits that are mostly in a gender, due to biological conditioning over the long years. A man with more resources offers more security, nowadays isn't like then when the strongest wrestler gets the fairest maiden. grin

Increase that prayer sha, me self don tell you I want oyibo wife.

I don't feel others are in incompetent to discuss American women. Your understanding skills aren't that great, no offense intended. If you read that message again, you'd understand I was only pointing out the fallacy in your argument where you asked how I got to know about Nigeria since I haven't lived in Nigeria. That was your argument and I responded that that question is simply senseless cause those who talk about American women haven't lived in America too. I don't know how you came into the conclusion that I feel others are incompetent to discuss American women while I was using the opposite of that to point out your weak argument.

My story hasn't changed, you need to learn the difference between living in a country and visiting a country. It's not my fault if you don't know that difference. I have never lived in Nigeria and anyone who says he's lived in the US just because he visited a couple of times is delusional to say the least.

Obviously, you don't understand the concept of counter logic. Counter logic is simply used to point out the weakness of the other party's argument. If you say Nigerian women should be like American women just because of Cardi B, then you must also say that Nigerian men should be like American men just because of my dad. By the time you starting pointing how all American men are not like my dad, you'll also begin to appreciate the fact that not all American women are like Cardi B. That is the end goal, and as far I'm concerned, it served my argument PERFECTLY fine.

Sorry but it appears formal argument is not your strength.

Show business tingz. Probably rented for photo-op purposes to impress the fans. Yankee and Naija entertainers do it all the time to show off and floss on the struggling masses. The music industry companies require it in their contracts them rob them with fancy expense accounting Dem have to prove that they made it to the next level. Many times the riding high balloon burst and dem are back to ground zero. Ask yourself, how many times have you seen stories of once prominent entertainers that once lived the glamorous life seeking for donations for serious medical maladies.

Those are the ones you see in the media. Many of us are hardworking people. But that ain't the point cause I wasn't even specifically talking about blacks but the typical westerner who isn't intoxicated by gender superiority like African men are.

Bros, ur words betray u:

"Your questions make little to no sense when you consider the fact that the majority of those who are saying Nigerian girls should be like their American counterparts haven't lived in the US too."

This is u questioning their competence on d issue. So what are u denying when ur words are in full glare?

Since u no d difference between living in a country & visiting a country, how does mentioning ur visiting nigeria add to ur competence about d subject matter?

Whether u counter logic or u don't counter logic, d point is that u are as incompetent to generalise on nigerian men as those guys who u say shouldn't speak on American women because they haven't lived in America. So all those other issues u are trying to lay emphasis of who or what I am aren't part of d discussion. D discussion is u on one hand with ur following generalisations:

Dude, read those words again and stop embarrassing yourself. I did not question thier competence, I only pointed why the questions you asked me where senseless. I said the questions you asked made no sense cause even those who talk about American women haven't been to America too. Technically, that means one doesn't have to have lived somewhere to know about the place. I'm only responsible for what I type. You are responsible for how you understand it.

I mentioned I've visited Nigeria cause it's one of my sources of information. Living in Nigeria on the other hand is an entirely different thing. I've never lived in Nigeria, I'll probably never live there and I like I said, I need not live there to know about the country.

You can keep whining all you want about my approach to dismantling the argument of sexist Nairalanders but provided the I've succeeded in making them see the loopholes in thier sexist comments, I'm fine.

What then is ur basis for trying to counter them? because if u say u don't have to have lived in Nigeria to no d things u no about nigerian men, marriages& relationships, then d guys from d other school of thought about American women are also right in their argument since they don't need to have lived in d US to make their claims. On d strength of that argument, u haven't achieved anything.

Remember that u have made several generalisations about even d US itself where u say u live in & ended up backtracking. So if u live in d US& most of claims u made u ended up forfeiting, what then is d dismantling that u dismantled? Are ur arguments not filled with loopholes & generalisations which u can't verify like those below amongst others?:

"I'm a man. I never lived in Nigeria and I don't think y'all are any better. You're mentioning flowers as if you don't see American men buying expensive jewelries for their women. American men respect their women. They don't try to control them or try to turn them into house chore machines. Men receive these gifts in the US cause they put themselves a position that makes it clear they also have needs. African men are 'the bosses', they shouldn't expect to be treated otherwise."

That's why I asked u these earlier?:

"Now, u are saying that ur relatives treat their wives right because they embrace western culture. Since u have never been to Nigeria how can u be sure that we don't have men in Nigeria who buy gifts for their wives& girlfriends and cook for them? Or do ur relatives now have a knowledge of what transpires in every home & relationship in Nigeria?"
