We closed our borders to stop rice smuggling which was bad for our won farmers. Now we are reopening them because too many of our farmers cannot farm due to insecurity and our people are hungry. Where are we on our initial objectives?

Clueless government. In the first place you closed all borders because you were clueless. And now you reopen it because your people from the north can't go to the farm. Nepotism and tribalism run in the blood of the average person from the north.

The opportunity window the North could have taken advantage of with the border closure while taking charge of agriculture for over 200m people, they want to kill everybody with inflation, insecurity, banditry and kidnapping.

Didnt you see the seaport monopoly that was given to the SW, see how they have championed it.

They are begging the most corrupt nation on Earth to do business with them.

grin patriotism is more scarce than getting a gallon of scorpion venom in Nigeria. Summing all our predicaments can be equated to the sum of bad leadership and citizenry due to lack of patriotism in the forcefully amagamated country. All thanks to lugard. If he had known what this race is capable of, he would have let us be. Development has been salt to our wounds since stone ages. No matter the amount of power bestowed on us, we use it on ourselves first. And in a very negative way... We don't care if others are in pains, as far as Nepotism favours us, and we can feather our own nest. Ask yourself, "if I happen to find myself in such position tomorrow, will mine be better and exceptional?". Keep your answer to yourself and continue the hypocrisy. Not until we build Bridges instead of Walls, Nigeria will make no progress. The change starts with individual's readiness to break even with greed. cry
