I still think you should mail LH and tell them you registered with an already existing Payoneer.

For this new one we created, there's no need to verify anything (I think) because like TransferWise, the money would be sent directly to our bank accounts, not paid into our Payoneer.

They're using Payoneer as an agent like TW which would send the money to our bank accounts.
