Humans are not possessed by the devil, but rather, possessed with the devil (Mark 5:15, 8:28 kjv). A lot of people are going through demonic oppression, but I’d rather call it demonic possession.

How to fight demonic attacks:

1. Accept the truth of who you are (2 Tim 2:24-26 kjv). Stop being self righteous. I mean how can God give you repentance when you won’t even accept the truth that you’re the problem? The problem is not who you’re with, the problem is you. God is dealing with you as an individual. Maybe try and study the book of Job. Do you know what Job’s sin was? Self righteousness. In Job 40:4 Job finally admitted “I am vile”. That’s how he recovered himself out from the snare of the devil. See my previous post on “will the devil ever repent” on more about this.

2. Abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thess 5:22 kjv). Evil is what leads to sin. The reason evil is always present in our lives is because God gave us a free choice. The Devil will tempt the hell out of your life, but always remember (1 Cor 10:13, Rom 8:28 kjv).

3. Always plead the blood (1 John 1:7,9 kjv). This is very important. To plead the blood keeps you in fellowship with the Lord, and always protects you from the devil.

4. Fast and pray (Mark 9:29 kjv).

5. Stay away from signs. Signs i mean dreams, visions etc. Signs are for the Jews, not for Christians (1 Cor 1:22 kjv, Joel 2:27-31 kjv). Do you rely more on your personal experience than the Bible? Do you always try to make the Bible to line up with your personal experience? Did you experience often demonic oppression? This is because the vision is an open gateway for demonic oppression or possession. The devil is simply imitating everything the Lord did with the Jews. (See Rev 13:12-15 kjv on the Antichrist). The most dangerous thing about these visions is that most of the time they are 90% true, and often come to pass, and Satan does all these things so he can fool you. The devil makes these dreams to come to pass because you’re still opposing yourself. God is not in that thing. Christians walk by faith (2 Cor 5:7 kjv), live by faith (Rom 1:17 kjv), and stand in faith (2 Cor 1:24 kjv). 90% truth is a lie. These dreams and visions makes you feel important. It makes you feel you’re close to the Lord, meanwhile you’re afar. It makes you feel you’re having victory over the devil, but meanwhile you’re exactly where the devil wants you to be. It makes you think that you’re something you aren’t (Gal 6:3 kjv). If you’re still interested in signs, you will keep seeing signs until you leave this world. Don’t get all emotional on this, please use your head.

6. Stay away from churches that gives oil in the name of anointing oil, or the so called holy water. They are false prophets. These things are foolishness. A saved Christian has the Holy Spirit in him (Eph 1:13 kjv), and the indwelling Christ (Col 1 :27 kjv. You’re bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh Eph 5:30 kjv). Christianity is spiritual, not physical. If only you will just stop opposing yourself, you will save yourself from these foolishness. The most dangerous thing about these physical religious things/items (e.g crucifix, holy water, anointing oil) is that they work, but it’s the devil that is running the whole show. It’s easy to fool anybody that wants to be fooled. Just like a magician performing on stage, he will have your attention on the right hand side, meanwhile the real magic is happening on the left hand side.

7. Put on the whole armor of God (Eph 6:11-18 kjv). Everything on that list are defensive weapons, except for prayer which is your offensive weapon. Why? It’s devil’s world (2 Cor 4:4 kjv). You’re in a wrestling match with him in a ring he has been living in for the past 6,000 years, and he knows humans in and out ( Job 2:4 kjv). If the whole humans in this world come against the devil, we will not even last for an hour. So be careful with your prayer life (Phil 4:6 kjv). Don’t do that stupid casting and binding and mess up your prayer life. Stop fighting the devil, you’ll never win him. He has done nothing wrong to you. The devil will never falsely accuse you before the Lord, he will simply accuse you of what you did. Stop praying for an enemy to die. What makes you think that you’re better than that your enemy in God’s eyes? Why not simply say “Lord please take care of my enemies”. Don’t you know the battle is the Lord’s? Just hide behind Jesus in that wrestling ring like a little girl and tell Him that the devil is picking on you. Pray for other Christians too, it’s very important. Always give thanks, for the Lord is not unwise. Nothing surprises Him.

8. Control your thoughts (2 Cor 10:3-6 kjv).

9. Set your affections on things above (Col 3:2 kjv). This will make you to lay up your treasures up in heaven, rather than here on earth. What is above? The Lord Jesus is there, the judgement seat of Christ is there, the new Jerusalem is there.

10. Live a holy Christian life. A holy Christian life is not to be walking like a pope or something, but living a sanctified separated life. Stay away from the world (1 John 2:15-17 kjv), worldly friends and worldly Christians. They will simply drag you back to the pit. That’s what gravity does. (2 Cor 6:14-18, 1 Thess 4:3 kjv).

11. Do the Lord a service, and don’t conform to this world (Rom 12:1-2 kjv). The truth is that the devil will never try to stop a Christian, all he does is to get you to conform to this world. If he succeeds, he sends a lost man to hell, and robs a saved Christian of his rewards at the judgement seat of Christ.

12. Finally, just keep looking unto Jesus (Heb 12:1-2 kjv). Forget about what the devil is doing, but rather focus on what the Lord is doing.

There is a difference between been possessed of the devil, and been oppressed of the devil.

A born again christian cannot be possessed, but can be oppressed.

It is unbelievers that can be possessed ,not christian.

Maybe you should read 1 Cor 5:1-5 kjv and stop acting intellectual by calling another man naive. This was a saved Christian in that passage. The devil has no business with the Holy Spirit in a saved believer. He has no business with the soul of a believer. Just his flesh. Paul said in Rom 7:18 ‘’ For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not’’. Maybe I should teach you the 3 tripartite being of a man too. The devil can posses your body, not your quickened spirit, nor your soul. Even the greatest preachers to walk on this earth never saw themselves as intellectuals, but rather as Bible students. Meanwhile to be enlightened simply means to be saved (1 Sam 14:27 kjv), that doesn’t necessary mean you know the Bible. If you want to comment, why not add something to what I already said so to help other Christians going through things, or better just leave it alone instead of raising a silly argument just to discredit every other thing I wrote here.
