Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by benji93: 6:59pm On Dec 15, 2020
To the best of my knowledge, it's possible. I mean if you get in with a tourist visa and then you secured admission into an institution. As long as your tourist visa doesn't expire until you complete your student residence permit application, i believe you are all clear. Note it's important your tourist visa doesn't expire before you complete your permit application. If it does expire, they may ask you to go back home to get another visa even though you have secured admission.

It's around a 100TL now, that's around 6000 naira. At least i know that's the case in Ankara. I am assuming it's the same everywhere. But that's only for the application, as you need to have some passport pictures, travelling passport photocopies and all other stuffs, which depends on the kind of residence permit you are applying for.

English teaching is your best bet. But i believe it would be difficult to get one now. Turkey has been hit hard by Covid. The number of cases per day have been very high recently.

resident permit cost around $250/350 max, but you must get a registered accommodation for you to put in for the resident permit, however to rent a single 1+1 apartment isn’t easy oooo in Istanbul, rent alone cost between $250/ $ 300 excluding the other bills.ie( gas, water , electricity, house cleaner bill, therefore if it’s your plan to come over to turkey, ah beg no hold $500 as bta and think you dey japa oooo, nah from frying pan to fire straight. Guys here no dey accommodate oooo. But whoever is coming from Lagos to Istanbul should let me know here between now and next week.

resident permit now cost between $250/$350. , but I do advice those coming to Istanbul to quickly put in the application for their resident permit within the 4 days of their arrival. If you should wait until your visa expires, you will be bill more and pay fine before you can apply for your resident permit (kimlik)

Hi Kevin, Turkey is such a nice country to explore, live, work and study in.
As a matter of fact, there are public universities in Turkey where viable courses can be studied with as low as 300$.

You are addressing the wrong person. My post was a reply to the original post. Besides the guy asked about residence permit, not food, not accommodation, so it's only proper to provide a direct answer, then forllow it up with the aoccomodation, bla bla bla. Besides i reside here, so i am therefore providing first-hand information.

Yes there are, but most of those require you to have had very high grades in your WAEC, or have taken SAT and gotten a decent grade in the math section especially.

For Msc you may need to get at least 4/5 to stand a chance at METU for example. The tuition fee there is really low though, maybe like 100 dollars per sem.

Residence permit cost nothing less than $300 including insurance and other bills for the permit.
