The story is great, but they are few forced subplots that I didn't find interesting...

Lord Maxwell and Barbara/Cheetah were fantastic.

There are so much Richard Donner's original Superman movie sprinkling all over WW84 and I disliked it. Too much homage....

You only just mentioned concept, dialogue, storylines, character devt, without explaining how they're portrayed in the movie Vs your pick of the better movie.

MOS effects and action scenes are fvvking better than Aquaman anyday anytime. Aquaman just brighter and underwater effects makes it more exciting since it's new to the Genre. MOS also has way better character devt than Aquaman.

First you were saying you didn't see excitement and joyfulness in a movie which is supposed to be bleak, dark and filled with uncertainty. How do you correlate that??

You'll just say you didn't understand MOS or it wasn't filled with the joy and excitement you got in Aquaman. You'll just say you like light-hearted and unserious movies, hence your love for MCU. You can't handle bleak, realistic or gritty takes, so kapish.

Even the name 1984 you would have guessed they would include campiness of the 80's in it. Watching it and then realising it different from the realities of the 21st century, I'm like you sure say you understand wetin you dey watch.
Even me that is yet to watch the movie I expect to see Campy and cringy portrayals which was synonymous to the 80's. You can't be watching a world war movie and be expecting 21st century tropes or realities.

The campiness you see are deliberate and mirrors society back then.
