As one who used to to listen to music in 24bit FLAC and and MQA formats (studio masters but they're meh or I need a thousand dollar headphone and DAC to feel something ), I know what you mean, especially after listening and comparing Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park and Random Access Memory by Daft Punk (320kb MP3 and 24bit FLAC).

Had you needed them sites and telegram group for them earlier this year, you'd have gotten them free but now their owners put most of the good music behind paywalls.

Some sites you can get them files if you google the album or song but sometimes they're 16bit FLAC files.

They even made the ear cups a big deal.
If you have to charge 500 bucks for a pair of headphones, add a protective case in the box na, not that bra.

I own the Sony WH-1000XM4, Bose QC35 ii, beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250Ω, Audio Technica M50x and other headphones.

Hope to cop the Anker Soundcore life Q30 soon. Heard it's pretty good budget headphones.

Nice thread, I am thinking of migrating to earbuds but would go with the unpopular and unnamed brands due to affordability.

Notwithstanding, I will still have a wire earphone as backup incase the other didn't give me what I want.

have the Cowin E7 Pro .. the sound is good... also just got the samsung bud live still waiting to see how good it is when i have phone ... but my next bus stop is Sony WH-1000XM4 headset which i should be getting very soon...

Following is what I look out for in a headphone

1. Price,

2. Comfort on the head and ear (very important to me), I want to be able use headphone for long without getting tired or having sweating ears

3. Noise canceling features
