US has banned its citizens from travelling to 12 Nigerian states.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the United States Embassy in Nigeria has cautioned American citizens to reconsider traveling to Nigeria due to COVID-19, crime, terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, and maritime crime.

This online news platform understands that the US in a notice shared on its official website and Twitter, cautioned its citizens residing in Nigeria against intra and inter state movements as crimes tend to increase during holidays in the country.

“We remind U.S. citizens to exercise caution while traveling and residing in Nigeria. Crime is endemic throughout Nigeria, ranging from petty street crime to carjacking, and crime levels tend to increase during the holidays,” the embassy wrote, highlighting danger zones in the country.

Fake news, stop spreading fake news, USA didn't ban theirs citizens from travelling to 12 states, they only issue a warning that its dangerous to travel to Nigeria now, thy also gave directives to those that will still insist on travelling

The can't ban them but only caution them

Banned and cautioned are two different things.

Ondo State is safe

Akoko part of the state is safe

Akoko North West LGA is safer

Ogbagi-Akoko is the safest


So no one should panic travelling to that part of the state.

Just 12 State, Even West Africa is Not Safe
