initially i thought that the closure of land borders will help in the fight against insecurities, but the reverse seems to be the case, this is indeed a govt of trial by error.
now their new song is nin, with a threat to block sim cards, very soon network providers will realize that they have lost most of their subscribers, due to this hasty and ill thought-out policy of bubu's apc govt.

The analogy I use is,
it's like you gave an okada rider keys to a cargo plane to fly.

What is the expected outcome?

And most of our elected politicians are layman, so it shouldn't be surprising that they reason like one.
That's why you have to appoint professionals into every key positions to make the right decisions and dish the best professional advice that is feasible in reality.

In as much as using Nigerian ports continues to be a tragedy, imports will always come in through the land borders because it it is so much easier (and cheaper i hear) to import through Benin Republic and use lorry to drive it into Lagos through Seme.

I was in Cotonou recently and drove past the marina area where their port is on the way to my hotel which was near by. Oh boy!!! See how neat the access road was. A few trucks on the road, but they were in no way impeding traffic flow. However, majority of the trucks were inside the premises or further away and they only come when they have specific load to carry. Compare that to Apapa/TinCan access roads.

This country is just a nightmare!!!

Over 15 months of total waste. The economic advantages we should have over our neighbors have been dented. It's just terrible and wicked!

The Buhari that I know cannot reopen land boarders because of hardship in the coutry because that is what he represent. It is either the Boko Haram needs more arms or Fulani Bandits are in short supply

Very interesting that the same people that claim Buhari means the country no good are same ones short on suspicion that the borders are being reopened by him.

Disclaimer: I’m not pro or anti Buhari, or any Nigerian leader for that matter past or present, I’m just pro Nigeria.
