Work for an airline is usually a part time job for many. I met many bank managers, lawyers, businessman working there. The pay is not much except you want to do it as a career and work in the office.

Otherwise Field workers are divided into above wing ( customer services issuing tickets, gate officers) and below wing ( those who bring in the planes, load bags etc).Below wing mostly work outside. You either work with the main company like Delta, United, Sun Country or their subsidiaries where pay is less and work conditions not as good or permanent. As a worker I got to fly unlimited throughout America and 25 times overseas with my immediate family. 25 for my parents no matter what County they are in. If you travel to Nigeria like once or twice a year, that's a savings of $2000 to $4000 (economy) and $10,000 to $20,000 if business class and if you have a spouse and 3 kids, multiple that.

Since it is a part time job for most people, hours differ. There are people who work just 8 hours in a week and those who dont work for almost 2 months.

You can apply to any airline in any country you are in even in Nigeria. Airline give free flights to all workers. If you are in the US, it affords you the opportunity to travel to Nigeria and elsewhere free.

USA based Nigerians who travel a lot back home can do so free if they work part time with an airline.

There's no coherence. That's why they always want us to write IELTS.

You mean if you work only 8 hours a month in an airline as a second job, anytime( no matter the number of times) you want to travel to Nigeria, it’s free for you and family?

Different airlines have different rules. What you mentioned is for Delta for a certain category. All categories have minimum hours they must work a month. Delta Mainline, you can amass your minimum and then not come to work for up to 3 months.
With Deltas subsidiary called DGS, you have to work at least once every month.
And benefits are free unlimited travel within the country you are based like USA, for you, wife and kids. And some flights for your friends called " Buddy Pass"
International travel is limited to 25 for you and parents.
Of course, on busy days you may not easily get a seat as passengers are seated first. When you are in the system, you know how to do it to ensure you get a seat; like connecting flights or boarding on the early morning flights
