Form A: How Long Does It Take To Remit Tuition Fees Abroad by zieraw2005(m): 12:21am On Dec 22, 2020
Hello guys please I am in a tight position right now. I got admission abroad and I was required to pay for my tuition and send the payment receipt to the school for verification and all that .

I applied through one of Nigeria's bank branch here at Idimu road and to my amazement the customer care lady told me they don't have Dollars and they have backlogs to treat on the first come first serve basis. So therefore she couldn't fathom if the 31st December 2020 deadline given to me could be met. I was scared at that moment , but I had to go ahead with the form filling since I have already left work for this purpose.

Three days later I went back to see if I could have any evidence of payment to send to school but all to no avail.

I had to go to another bank where I have account also, getting there, they told me that for me to pay tuition fees abroad, I will need a current account. I don't have current account at this time but I have Domiciliary account with this bank but not sufficient fund to pay for my tuition.

I asked if I put USD in my Domiciliary account hope the payment would be swift? They said yes.

I went outside to call aboki to sale 3000 USD to me and Aboki's rate was #477 to $1 (bank rate on that day was #394 to $1). I agreed to pay him and get the USD . So Aboki insisted that I make the transfer through bank where I have my money not transfer from my phone. Lols. I am still desperate to beat the deadline given to me. I quickly told Aboki let's go to the bank and this time , getting there, I filled fund transfer form and wanted to pay the Aboki, one mind spoke to me to talk to one of the bankers and I did, he said to me, since you have Domiciliary account with us there will be no need getting 2 referees for the current account opening that they can open the account immediately so I can fund it and do my tuition payment. I was glad at this time, but I didn't know what to tell the aboki, so I picked additional account opening form to fill, but had to tell Aboki that my account has some transfer issues and that's what the bank wants me rectify now. That he can go that I will call him once I am ready.

So within 30 minutes, my current account was opened and I funded it and filled all the Form A for tuition fees, that was on the 18th December 2020. And the deadline is 31st December 2020, up till today they have not debited my account and no payment receipt received to send to my school.

In my account, I can see Balance is showing actual amount I should have left if they debit my account for the tuition fee and I can also see Book balance which shows the total money I have put in my current account.

So my question is, how long does it take banks to Remit my tuition fees? And with what I have narrated do you think they can still beat this deadline for me or should I buy USD from Aboki' to fund my Domiciliary account where I will pay #300k extra. I really don't know how the system works.

Please any useful information will be helpful. I no d fit sleep.

Hmm.

I do a bit of backend techies for them. I just pray your sum hasn't been sidetracked and log cleared.

You could have met a trusted sb who works there to fasten things up.
