Sorry for the delay and stress. I had the same issue although mine was for a work visa. I submitted in March and received my visa in November after sending several emails/pleas to directorgeneral@dha.gov.za. I got this email on this platform. The person kept forwarding my email to some colleagues until I received a message from VFS that my passport was ready for collection.

Closing date for submission at VFS lagos is 15/dec/2020. While Embassy close on the 16/dec/2020. If you miss it you wait till January 4.

I'm just trying to way my options whether to apply her or in botswana which takes 1 week max... But I have to buy two ticket so please any kind information will go a long way for me... You need to have a parental consent form filled and signed by the other parent. Hold unto a copy too while traveling.

@izzyward, I will advise you don't submit in Nigeria. Lagos can take forever while Abuja will take 6-8 weeks.

My husband's South African visa expires 31st of December( study visa but he hasn't finished the program Due to COVID)and he's presently not in the country although he has a pending application here in south Africa, he could wait for the outcome as he needed to travel urgently.
He's presently in Guinea Conarkry,(it's a Visa free country for Nigerians).
Is it possible to apply for a Visitors visa fro South African Embassy there in Guinea?
