NSCDC Restates Commitment To Peace In Borno, Lays Headquarters Foundation In The State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp NSCDC, has held a ground breaking and foundation laying of its headquarters in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

According to the statement by Ekunola Gbenga, media assistant to the Commandant General at the ceremony on Monday, the Commandant General, Abdullahi Muhammad said the building would provide a conducive environment for staff to put in their best performance.

He promised to give special attention to the welfare and promotion of personnel especially those in the theatres of war.

He said NSCDC would work in synergy with other security forces to rid the region of insurgency and terrorism.

Borno state Governor, Babagana Zulum applauded the effort of NSCDC in the restoration of civil authority in the state and called on the Federal Government to provide the Corps with state-of-the-art equipment to contain criminal activities.

Every federal agency has its HQ in the north. Are they saying the east and west have no good area for allocation of federal agencies HQs. Tomorrow one id**t will come and shout one Nigeria. Common sense is not actually common yunno

A whole national agency! Why not the FCT? Every thing being built by this administration is in the north. They don't send Abuja again as they believe that southerners are now too much there.

All major national headquarters are now being moved to core northern states. Burutai laid foundation for military university in Borno. Amaechi moved national maritime university to daura. Some other federal agencies also have their headquarters in one core northern states or the other. For them, Abuja is no more the epicenter as other people easily gets there.

The nepotism in the country is mind boggling. Oya, make una come attack me.
