An NYSC member, Iyanuoluwa Adeola, has caused a stir online after a video of her saluting her mother in her NYSC uniform appeared on social media.

On why she did parade for her mum on returning from NYSC camp, the Corper said:

"My voice is not shaky because I'm afraid, I'm just too emotional ... When your mother singlehandedly raises you, borrows money to send you to school, has sleepless nights praying for you & you eventually become a CORPER... She deserves wayyyyy more than 3 hearty cheers."

Before she secures a good job or start a paying Biz and starts providing for her mum, this is a heart melting way of saying thanks mum for your fruitful efforts towards sponsoring my education. I love this coming from the corper.

Congratulations to her, may God provide her with a better job after NYSC.

This is emotional, people that came from rich and well to do family will not understand this.

I remember when I came home after NYSC camp, my Dad was so happy that he took his hunting gun and enter the back yard to release one shut, one of his uncle wife (an elderly woman) that was around ask my father what is the problem that made him to shoot gun in the village because that is not allowed and will surely require you to give the villagers drink for doing that.
So in response, my father told her that his son is a graduate, that he just came back from youth service.

So the woman now responded to my father (Ogbona shoot the second one) to shoot the second one. My father went inside, remove the old cartridge, then put another cartridge and shoot the second time.

Actually I happened to be the first graduate among my extended family, aside people that do part time and NCE then.

This is impressive for acknowledging her Mums contributions towards her Education and well being.
I experienced a similar Salute from a Soldier who has just been discharged at Gimpo Airport.

I know this lady. Met her at my place of work 2 years ago. She came by to supply stuff and it was about the same time I was going home. Gave her a ride and also patronized her wears. Such a lovely person. Can't really recall the face but I remembered her mum pics very well as it was always on her WhatsApp displayed pictures and status.
