Fiery preacher and pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, has credited former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, of singlehandedly fighting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest.

Bakare, one of the organizers of the Save Nigeria Group in a sermon on Tuesday also berated some leaders from the zone who are opposed to Tinubu.

The cleric expressed dismay at some notable Yoruba leaders for opposing Tinubu despite what he did for the region.

The story of Tinubu is about helping others rise, and one day they might endorse you

Looking forward to the day he declares his ambition, every news channel, news paper, social media and blogs would buzz non stop with his news

Instead of Ibo people to be dragging PDP Ticket or Supporting Their Fulani boss and begging for Vice Presidency.. they are on Tinubu thread giving him more publicity

Yimu. Some of una talk pass dis one about Bubu. Yet he is your president today, serving his second term sef. If Tinubu manages to get the APC ticket best believe he will become your president. You will be left with two options in such an eventuality - relocate to Ghana or sniper. undecided

Tinubu has paid his dues and deserve the influence and attention he commands in the country. He is an excellent administrator and a very good politician. He is not perfect just like every other human being but he’s far better than most of his detractors who are jealous of his political achievements.

His opponents have been trying to pull him down since 1999 without success. Now, they have resorted to spreading falsehood about him daily. Unfortunately for them, he’s still waxing stronger.

I wish him the best if he decides to contest the 2023 presidential election. I have no doubt about his ability to lead the country back to the path of national unity, security, development, progress and shared prosperity.

Truly, wahala dey for who no like Asiwaju grin

They don’t have to be friends for Bakare to speak the truth about him. Tinubu has been unfairly subjected to bad press and extreme character assassination since he supported Buhari to defeat PDP in 2015. The Tinubu slander must stop now. He did nothing wrong by supporting the candidate of his party.

I’m even happy that more Yoruba are speaking up in support of Tinubu because of the way he’s been subjected to unfair press majorly by the Igbos. The more ethnic bigots push hateful narratives about him, the more unbiased people will continue to embrace him.
