I was scrolling through my timeline when I saw the pictures of halden prison in Norway. Honestly I was flabbergasted, I mean we know how prisons in Nigeria look like. I can't even imagine it. Halden prison is better than some houses in Nigeria, this is an undisputed fact

The white people understand the real definition of prison. Prison is supposed to be place of rehabilitation not a place of torture. You woks, get educated, get degrees in vocational courses and undergo proper psychological evaluation but torturing inmates as a means of letting them know that they are paying for their crimes won't make them turn to a new leaf.

That's why we have many stubborn people in Nigeria who are ready to do anything for our polithiefcians and vote for people like buhari and atiku.

In Norway, prisoners are treated like kings and properly rehabilitated before coming out.

Exercise is compulsory. The inmates eat anything they want. Their health is intact and they even have doctors that do check up on them from time to time.

They are allowed to play sport with the prison guards. The prison guards must not maltreat them in any way.

Prison should only be to restrict your movement going outside but comfortable staying inside

A government that works will always be a blessing to the people. Prison is supposed to be a place of rehabilitation first, before punishment. But in many other parts of the world it's majorly about punishment.

This is what you call correctional facility... may be someday I build a private correctional facility called Hotel la cambio for high profile intelligence non violent Rogues.

This is what tax payer money does, no wonder Norway is considered the happiest country in the world

Why would you even want to? Food, drink, gym, library, beach front view, games and sports, entertainment. If not for society driving us to kill ourselves over achievement, this would be an ideal life for almost any man. It's like an all expense paid vacation.

See taxpayers money at work. I've heard a lot about how some lazy homeless folks commit misdemeanors just to go back to jail to enjoy free shelter and food in the States.

Now this is the definition of a SANE SOCIETY

but I doubt if violent criminals will be imprisoned here. This probably could be just for small time offenders.

imagine some homeless dude on the street charged for shoplifting and then sent to 1 month in prison ..... isn't that from grass to grace over there..he might even plead to extend the sentence.
these is what a correctional center ought to be like, not like here in Nigeria where our prisons, though now branded as "correctional institutions" only serve as some medium to make hard criminals more hardened, thus releasing them back into the street in worse (mental) conditions than they were picked up thus putting the communities into greater harm than before(law of cause and effect). no psychological evaluation of the criminals thereof.
