The presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19 says it will soon publish the passport numbers of 100 travelers who refused to undergo the mandatory COVID-19 test within seven days of returning to the country.

At its briefing on Thursday, the PTF said the holders of the passports will be suspended for a minimum of six months for flouting obligation to test.

During the last briefing, Boss Mustapha, chairman of the task force, had said a total of 20,216 in-bound travelers refused to show up for the post arrival test they signed up, thereby endangering members of the country.

He had said the PTF had concluded arrangements with the Nigeria Immigration Service ” to impose sanctions on these defaulters for breaching the public health protocols, within ambit of the law.”

We don't need the names. To do what exactly?

The list is not worth it if that Indian man close to me that traveled to Abuja and didn't do testing at MMA is not there.

Everyone is flexing muscle, or is it appraisal matters? angry

If you are one of those pole that is yet to go for a test after coming from abroad. Pls, go for the test. Don't come and kill me with the aftermath of your London enjoyment when I haven't not even enter plane before. We are suffering enough in Nigeria and the governmentare not doing anything to help, pls go for a test and the continue to spread the variety Coro......

On a serious note, the goverment should make it a criminal offence because you are not trying to kill yourslef but you are trying to endanger the life of others, in short it should be term an act of terrorism and should be treated as such but this current class are not middle and lower class. I had an issue with a mistaken double registration and payment. They didn't respond to mails, messages nor pick calls.

Looking forward to the list.

When FT said we are a failed state, or Trump called us a Shithole, people will be vexing, rejecting in the name of Jesus! Who are the people that travel abroad and feel they are bigger than the law? That's why I can bet you we will never see this list. Even if they publish a list after editing to remove their friends names, so what? In a country where people see it as a thing of pride to be owing AMCON?

I can't come back to the East, and you expect me to go back to Lagos for a covid-19 test that I should have done this place, why will they put the whole testing centers in Lagos leaving out other regions, imagine after spending 50k plus to pay for the test, I will now spend close to 30 -40k to go for the test again from the East, after they called and I told them to direct me to a nearby center within my state for the test, they told me they will get back to me, till now, no body have called back, they must be seriously mad.

It is by force.

A person's right to illness and disease if there is such a thing, end outside the gate of his or her house. Part V sections 55-63 of the Infectious Diseases Act as amended by state Covid laws give the authorities the right to publish data including names and to arrest anyone who flouts any regulations made under the Act.

Let us not encourage wrong doing simply because we don't like the current government. Corona virus has no opinions. Its only objective to to incapacitate or if possible kill. Lets address the real enemy here.

Merry Christmas.

So when you publish their names, we will then see them as vile criminals? Useless administration, all talk and no action. Everytime "we will", hardly do you hear "we have".

Clowns!
