Please, expect an update within the Next 24 Hours – You should receive it immediately we confirm we have the Funds in question”. That has been the response they always give me whenever I call in to inform them about an incoming USD Inflow every month and I get my credit before the end of Working day on that day or early 23rd which is the next Day….. This time Around I didn’t get it even on 23rd December.

23rd December: On This day, I called back FCMB Headquarters and the Customer Care Representative that spoke with me confirmed the Inflow and made me understand that he can see the Inflow pending and FCMB Bank is in receipt of the Funds and the only thing remaining is to credit my account, I asked him “Why is this taking Long? Since FCMB is in receipt of my Fund, Credit my account because I need my Money!”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to let me know that “From what I can see here, This Current Inflow is bigger than what you usually get from Google in the Past Months, we are looking into it – why is it so?” I replied as thus: “It’s not a Fixed Payment, it might go up or even be lesser depending on so many factors, but the Payment for this Month is bigger”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to end the conversation by telling me this “Please, I have done a follow up on this issue to confirm why You’ve not been credited this amount which I can see from my end. Please, give us 24 Hours; you should be credited on or even before the 24 hours elapses”. After everything, I was expecting my credit as he promised But I saw nothing and I didn’t get any Credit after 24 Hours.

24th December: On This Day I called FCMB Headquarters again to complain on why they have not credited me my Inflow despite conforming they are in receipt of my Inflow, the Customer service Rep that Picked up my call told me this “We are in receipt of the Fund but the appropriate team noted that Your Name was not written in Full by the sender, Please inform REMITA to write your name in Full” I was dumbfounded because that was not my first time of receiving payment from the same Company Google Ireland Limited, and IF it was a Wrong Account or mistaken transaction, They wouldn’t see the inflow, neither will the transaction bear my account number and I explained it to the rep to check my previous inflows from the same company and see that’s how all the inflows has been and I have always been credited without such issues, I made her to understand that I need my money credited fast because I need to use it for my Christmas Celebration. I also made her know that it’s a Wire Transfer which has been coming in monthly like that and I’ve been getting my credit and I don’t have any transaction or history with Remita to start up a conversation with them… The Customer Rep informed me that I would be credited before the day runs out as she has done a Follow up on my Issue…. I decided to send a tweet to their Twitter Handle so as to make a further report in regards to the issue, and on getting to their Most Recent Post (as at 24th December 2020) I noticed a tweet by another Blogger who complained about FCMB Holding his Payment which was sent to him by Google Too (Screenshot Attached to this Post)… There and then I noticed I was not alone on this and it looks like FCMB is trying to play a Fast one on Bloggers. I sent out a tweet to their Official handle but got no reply even till this moment.

I have been getting my Credit into my FCMB Bank Account every month until this December and some FCMB Customer Reps have handled my Google Transactions in the Past and here are their Details for further confirmation:

i hope the $2,685.38 is not been paid into a naira account, else you are running at a huge loss. A little calculation. I called my aboki and he said dollars is N465

Black market $2,685.38 @465 per USD = N1,248,701.7
Bank rate ( Zenith bank does 390 per USD, i don't know about FCMB, let me use Zenith bank rate) $2,685.38 = N1,047,298.2.

Assuming you used Zenith bank rate, you have lost N201,403.5.

Think about what you can do with N201,403.5 (Two hundred and one thousand four hundred and three naira, fifty kobo). This could be a blessing in disguise, tell them to open a Dorm account for you and credit it.

FCMB almost made me not to bury my late mother in 2017 after i had transferred the mortuary fees to the mortician's FCMB account. The next day was burial as we came to carry her corpse the man no gree. Said he had not seen an alert so he was not releasing the body!

You said you have been doing this every month since the beginning of this year and this same bank has been giving you your money with no issues or hassles.
And this December transaction will be the first time you will be having an issue with your bank.
Because this is Christmas time and you need the money, we feel your pain and concern.
This money came in on the 21st of December, some 4 days ago.

What we are going to advise you to do is just to be PATIENT for the next 2 working days or less, you will definitely get your money.
(That is when the unit that will credit your money will be available, not customer service)
It is obvious you typed this through emotions about not getting your hard earned money and use it for what you wanna do at the time it is urgently needed.
A good bank may compensate you (tho they told you about some irregularities about names or higher amounts), but please be PATIENT till Monday or Tuesday and you will most def get your hard earned money in your account.
We don't think it is as serious as you are going about it.
It's not even up to 5 days or one week!
We are not supporting them, (Your money is your money) but this is end of the year that some check and balance is going on in all the banks all over the world, the most busiest time of the year for them!

If they don't pay you by next week, then we can help you here to take up the matter in a legal and peaceful manner.
But we understand when you said you have #0 with you right now. (And for the people asking you what have you been doing with the millions you have been earning from the beginning of the year, tell them it is none of their business!)
It can be painful to be with #0 (sic), especially when you have people looking up to you.

I am currently experiencing the same thing with Zenith Bank. Mine was an inflow since November.

It's made me realize how terrible their customer service is. You see, they don't even bother to pick their calls when you call them on their official line. They just hang up when it's your turn on the queue.

Then there's my account officer who blatantly hangs up and even refuses to pick my calls.

And they NEVER reply to emails.

Plus, I've been to two of their branches severally. And they've confirmed the inflow, yet releasing the funds is a Herculean task. Mine has been with them for a month now.

Here's what I am going to do:

On Tuesday, I am going to send an email to the fraudulent bank and cc CBN fraud unit. I'll let them know that I have cc in the email.

In there, I am going to accuse them of fraudulent misappropriation of funds.

It seems no one is really regulating these fraudulent banks as they ought to be regulated. Hence, the impunity with which they disregard customers.

I mean, they don't even respond to their social media pages most of the time.

Come and learn forex on deriv.com with 50$ you can make more than 3k$ monthly if you're not greedy Google Admob and co will ban your account if they see any little mistake don't waste your time on it unless you're an app developer or own a legit blog and real YouTube channel with lot and lot of viewers and it takes a long time to build but in forex a day you can cash out more than 1k$

The issue is getting referees with current account to stand in for you. How did you get yours?

The banks are now scanners, I am experiencing the same thing with GTBANK anytime I purchase airtime from my account they always charged additional #1000 or more, this has been happening for more than 2 times now, I have called & mailed d customer care center but they denied it, up till now they have not refunded my money . Very soon we all will be keeping our monies at home.

I think they have a problem with people receiving money once it is more than a thousand USD.

I'm an affiliate marketer and experienced similar thing that made me to stop using FCMB.

Normally, whenever I receive an inflow from Warriorplus or JVzoo, they'll call me and ask if I'm expecting money and I'll say yes. They'll ask how much and I'll tell them. Once I confirm it, they pay the next day.

It happened that I received an inflow of $3k and they didn't call as usual.

For more than 2 weeks that I was calling them, each call rep usually tell me that I'll get credited in the next 24 hours but it's all lies.

I even called them out on Twitter. They didn't move.

I started threatening to close my account subsequently asked them to close my account.
I downloaded my account statement which has done more than N20M this year and showed them all the charges they make and how much it was. Was running more than 100k.

That was when the head of their customer center mailed me with his personal mail and said he has sorted it.

But still I didn't get the credit the next day.
It was two days later that I got credited.

By the time all these lasted, it was almost one month.

They never did this whenever I receive less than $1000

Bottom line is: Don't use FCMB if you're an internet entrepreneur in Nigeria.

Don't use Sterling bank too.

I created a dorm account with them.
When I received an inflow last month and went to bank to pick it, they said they don't have dollars till now.

You can't receive that now... New CBN rule. The update is even on WorldRemit website. You can receive either dollar cash or in dorm account.

The Payment was sent into my FCMB Bank- same Bank I’ve been using to receive all my Advert Payment From Google and Other Companies, but this time Around FCMB is refusing to Credit my Funds which was sent in by Google and I want to use this medium to WARN People about Transacting with FCMB Bank (Mostly International Money Transactions).

My Story goes as thus:
On The 21st of This Month Google Sent $2,685.38 USD to my FCMB Bank Account (The Same which they have been sending to every month and I’ve been getting credit – without issues).

22nd of December: I called FCMB Headquarters via this Phone Number: 012798800 and informed them about the incoming WIRE Transfer from Google Ireland; I mailed the Payment Receipt send to me by Google to them (via: customerservice@fcmb.com) and FCMB Bank’s Customer Service Rep who Picked up my Call and Logged my Transaction responded to me as thus: “I have Logged your Incoming Transaction, Be rest assured that FCMB will credit you once we confirm we have the corresponding Inflow…. Please, expect an update within the Next 24 Hours – You should receive it immediately we confirm we have the Funds in question”. That has been the response they always give me whenever I call in to inform them about an incoming USD Inflow every month and I get my credit before the end of Working day on that day or early 23rd which is the next Day….. This time Around I didn’t get it even on 23rd December.

23rd December: On This day, I called back FCMB Headquarters and the Customer Care Representative that spoke with me confirmed the Inflow and made me understand that he can see the Inflow pending and FCMB Bank is in receipt of the Funds and the only thing remaining is to credit my account, I asked him “Why is this taking Long? Since FCMB is in receipt of my Fund, Credit my account because I need my Money!”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to let me know that “From what I can see here, This Current Inflow is bigger than what you usually get from Google in the Past Months, we are looking into it – why is it so?” I replied as thus: “It’s not a Fixed Payment, it might go up or even be lesser depending on so many factors, but the Payment for this Month is bigger”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to end the conversation by telling me this “Please, I have done a follow up on this issue to confirm why You’ve not been credited this amount which I can see from my end. Please, give us 24 Hours; you should be credited on or even before the 24 hours elapses”. After everything, I was expecting my credit as he promised But I saw nothing and I didn’t get any Credit after 24 Hours.

24th December: On This Day I called FCMB Headquarters again to complain on why they have not credited me my Inflow despite conforming they are in receipt of my Inflow, the Customer service Rep that Picked up my call told me this “We are in receipt of the Fund but the appropriate team noted that Your Name was not written in Full by the sender, Please inform REMITA to write your name in Full” I was dumbfounded because that was not my first time of receiving payment from the same Company Google Ireland Limited, and IF it was a Wrong Account or mistaken transaction, They wouldn’t see the inflow, neither will the transaction bear my account number and I explained it to the rep to check my previous inflows from the same company and see that’s how all the inflows has been and I have always been credited without such issues, I made her to understand that I need my money credited fast because I need to use it for my Christmas Celebration. I also made her know that it’s a Wire Transfer which has been coming in monthly like that and I’ve been getting my credit and I don’t have any transaction or history with Remita to start up a conversation with them… The Customer Rep informed me that I would be credited before the day runs out as she has done a Follow up on my Issue…. I sent out a tweet to their Official handle but got no reply even till this moment.

Fcmb has messed up my plans, since 2 months and a week now,I did a form A transaction with them,till now I have not gotten any confirmation about my transaction, I am about to lose my admission because of them even though I suspect that CBN has confirmed my transaction

Sorry about your ordeal OP, it's been like this in other banks also for a while now, the inflow of funds takes time to reflect. Meanwhile you can also save your funds with i-nest by FCMB and receive weekly 5% interest. Link on my signature.
