Suspected assassins in Akwa-Ibom state Nigeria killed a young man by name Gabriel Edward and hid his body inside his room after covering his body with a mat. He was declared missing by his family members but was later found decomposing already inside his own bedroom at home.

A cousin by name Uduakabasi Effiong to the deceased had this to say on Facebook:

“How wicked can people be?
My cousin was killed right inside his room by someone unknown.

He was killed and pushed to one corner of the bed covered with bed sheet and mat.
We realized his decomposed body today.
Gabriel Edward rest in peace.“

Maybe he was hiding and snooping around with someone's wife or maybe that story I heard about a pastor who wanted to keep a pilfering scandal secret may be it.

It looks like he did not have many close contacts, due to the fact that the body was already decomposing before they finally discovered him. Might have taken a couple of days before anyone discovered he was missing.
