It not just to spew statistics, what proactive steps have the ICPC taken so far to prosecute & bring the unnamed erring lawyers & judicial officers to justice. Media trial again.
When one of the two major corruption fighting agency starts releasing to the public this kind statistical surveys of corruption without accompanying it with how many of the lawyers or judges have been indicted, prosecuted & convicted, just know such agency is useless & that their is no hope in Nigeria fight against corruption.

And people still wonder why there is high level of criminality and jungle justice in the system?

I have suffered lose of cases I knew where winnable, because previous decisions of the supreme court was on my side.

Las las, all I could do was appeal. It could be frustrating at times. It makes me ask why should I bother to burn the mid night?

But believe me when I say this, some judges are incorruptible.

You simply can't buy them. You will know from their sound judgment.

What I always advise smart lawyers to do is, never go to court until all other options are carefully exhausted.

Sometimes, it pays to apply native intelligence in the words of Hon. Justice (Prof) Obiozor.

No wonder we are at this terrible state as a country. Justice is now for the highest bidder where common man can not get relief.
Judges now lobbiy to be appointed onto Election Tribunals.
If things are not quickly addressed,, what is left of the confidence that the common man has in the judiciary will disappear.
Do you mean to say there's anyone with any confidence in the judiciary?

Lawyers are richer than judges?? Why are they bribing judges? This is completely wrong.

you don't expect a politician to go directly to bribe the judges ....they do that through their counsels

Read please.

In research of this nature, the respondents are not known. It's like when you do a pre-test before the commencement of a capacity building training, you ask the respondents not to write their names so you get proper feedback on their understanding of the subject. If you ask them to write their names, a lot of folks won't participate.

Oga, the second paragraph of your post is incorrigible. Your use of diction is also poor, contrary to what lawyers should be known for. No offence intended. Only work on it.

As far as I'm concerned, It should be made a capital offence for judges to collect bribes! Somebody taking bribe to rule that what belongs to you is no more yours? Imagine that! Such judges, lawyers, judicial office workers involved in sundry bribery cases should be handed the death penalty, then be lined up not up to 30 minutes after sentencing at the bar beach or something and then shot! Do it for a year and watch the system sanitized beyond belief..

The cases involved in this type of scam are mostly political. There is a supreme court governor in Imo State.

Thanks.
But can you, please, pray tell what is wrong with my choice of diction in the second paragraph?

If you don't point it out, I won't know. And if I don't know, I won't know exactly what you are talking about. And if I can't correct it, I am bound to make the same mistake again.

I think so, my brother.

First, I'll say thank you for being calm & seeking to learn in the face of my seeming I-too-know disposition. Please note that I'm also a learner and consider myself a student of life.

The busy-body guy believes on the Internet, anything goes, while failing and/or refusing (as is customary of most Nigerians) to read and abide by the Rules guiding Nairaland and its members. Pls refer to Rule 21 of the said Rules.

ON YOUR POST
Permit me to delve straight to the corrections:
1. There is high level of criminality and jungle justice in the system.✔️
COMPARE: There is a high level of Criminality and jungle justice in the system.✔️
2. I have suffered lose loss of cases. (or better put, I have lost several cases).
3. The incorrigibility of your second paragraph lies in its logic. E.g. How do you lose several cases because previous decisions of the court are in your favour? Shouldn't the reverse be the case?
4. Lastly, One of my favourite Judge Judges✔️
