But that's what Reno said, pilate and herod didn't come together to plot to kill Jesus because pilate wasn't even interested in killing Jesus so much so that he told the Jews that Jesus was innocent and washed his hands off his blood in public. The Bible clearly showed the desperate attempts made by Pilate to free Jesus even offering them according to the custom to choose between Jesus and a hardened criminal barabbas which one to be freed, they chose barabbas.
