ofcos u can't call it a loss. Yea, it is a loss but u then have to weigh it with the times, it isn't a flop. Every business would adjust its profit scale this seas0n hence ww isn't a flop.

That Harley Quinn is comedy Gold. Painful I downloaded 4 episodes say make I start film, them ambush my phone.
They're probably too focused on WW84 Performance and ZSJL. Also charting DC future presently with Ambitious Plans.

THE PROBLEM WITH WW84

- Director freedom and Patty Jenkins overconfidence

When WB decided to start giving their directors freedom to do what they want to do, every DC fan including myself thought it was a good idea especially when WB already has a bad history of meddling with DC films. Like how they meddled and ruined JL and Suicide Squad.
Unfortunately, like someone pointed out, giving directors creative freedom could be their undoing as well.

We are starting to see a director who has no business having creative freedom. And that person, surprisingly is Patty fvcking Jenkins!

Let me bust your bubble, did you know that the great 3rd act we got in the first WW film is because of WB. Patty Jenkins was against having a big 3rd act fight with Ares and Diana. Maybe the crazy woman wanted a big ass speech instead of a good fight. But WB said no and insisted on a great 3rd act, thanks to WB we didn't get a cheesy ending.

But WB unfortunately drove a wedge between them and Jenkins by changing her movie.

So what did Patty Jenkins do when she was offered creative freedom
This woman fired the team that helped the first movie shine. Getting rid of Alan Heinberg the screenwriter and bringing in Geoff Johns.
Alan Heinberg's sacking finally proved to be a costly mistake.

The big difference between Alan and Johns is that one of them understands Wonder Woman and even wrote one of the best WW comic books...the other guy has never had anything to do with Wonder Woman before.
Geoff Johns handled Green Lantern well and Flash too, his Batman earth one comic book was interesting but he has never touched Wonder Woman before.
So how in the world did Patty Jenkins work with someone who doesn't know jack-shit about Wonder Woman

As if that is not enough reason to not work with him. Take a look at Geoff Johns work outside DC comics, is there anything this guy touched that didn't turn to rubbish

Why hire him

Thanks to Jenkins, Geoff Johns and lack of interference from WB due to 'Directors Freedom'.....the aggressive warrior Wonder Woman we saw in the first movie was replaced with.....that

If you needed someone to help with Wonder Woman, there are a handful of writers you could call. Alan is not the only one that wrote a great Wonder Woman story, there are others too.
What about Zack Snyder, why didn't Jenkins hire him for help. Even Zack gave us a fantastic Wonder Woman in BVS, at least with Zack you know you are getting breathtaking action sequences.

But no....the overconfident Patty Jenkins who wanted to prove that she could deliver without WB supervision went and hired a hack in Geoff Johns.

Patty Jenkins really messed up.

WB should do well to keep her on a short leash next time.
You could give director freedom to James Wan, James Gunn...even Reeves Batman looks promising. Patty Jenkins obviously isn't like these guys. She has proved that she is not someone you give creative freedom to...

Patty Jenkins is a like child that does an awesome job with help from the parents, but when the parents are not there to guide her...she fvcks up.

for real. There’s nothing wonder about WW84, no memorable thing i can point to. An eighties movie without 80s music, inconsistent plot, Batman says she’s been hiding over 100 years in JL but here she was broadcasting to the world in WW84, How did her rope tie around Lord’s feet when appealing to him to renounce his wish? How did Cheetah transform from just wishing to be an apex whatever? WW84 can float in air but can’t in BVS n JL, man she raped that guy who transformed into Steve, pretty sure there’ll be outpours of criticisms if it were the other way round. And suddenly the man gets his body and consciousness and just moves on admiring and having chit chat with WW without wondering what the heck happened to him the past few days. Damn the writers!

it is a loss minemrys. Wonder woman budget of 200M was an investment and looking at the box office number, have they gotten their money back? The answer is NO. So it is a massive flop.

u d0n't kn0w the returns for the hbo max release or the forecast of the stakeholders/investors. Yes, the covid saga has fallen all businesses, but you still can't call it a flop. C0me on, use ur initiative man, who would go to a cinema en masse during a pandemic? Ww would make it's m0ney. And it w0n't be necessarily via ticket sales. If endgame was released in this present time, you think it would make 500? Why hasn't marvel released any of their films yet? Or other blockbusters?

These actors have been in the industry a long time and they know that it's useless fighting a big company like Warner Bros....


Someone should tell Ray Fisher to stop fighting a loosing battle. He is going to destroy his career with his own hands, a career that has barely kicked off.
