hello good people,

pls, my car AC cool up well when I'm in motion, but cuts off when in traffic, what cld be the issue or what shld I do?
I use honda civic 2008 (aka irobot).

my AC guy calls it "jump cooling", that I need to change the compressor...

I'm experiencing the same thing. My AC technician said the same thing. That it's the compressor. I don't trust that compressor anyway so I'm going to change it after holidays. Meanwhile, my research online shows that it can be a problem with the radiator and the fans if you also experience overheating. And it can also be a problem with thermostat too.

I think you should narrow it down cuz I have successfully narrowed down my own to the compressor. I changed my radiator and thermostats.

Check if your radiator fans are working well.
By working well I mean
1, if the speed is okay,
2, if it's turning in the right direction.
Another reason might be low gas in the system.
Changing the compressor should be your last resort cos a lot of things might be wrong and can cause such problem that u are experiencing.

Two things involved. Has the factory thermostat being removed,its usually under the glove box inside, secondly if na manual compressor then it cuts in and cuts out every 5mins,u will hear the sound. Just save up,buy brand new aftermarket factory spec from amazon prime,might cost u close to 150k,but kts worth it. Do it now or soon your engine go knock
