Watched a programme on the Discovery Channel called HOW THE UNIVERSE WORKS, and one of the presenters said that it's impossible for man to fly to other solar systems hoping to find intelligent life, because even if we have a spacecraft that can travel near to speed of light, that as the universe is expanding, those solar systems (and even galaxies) are moving further away from us at (i think he said) the speed of light as well.

So there!

There was also the postulation that Black Holes could be a short-cut to another part of the Universe, hence allowing you to leapfrog through time and space. One of the presenters said as you approach the event-horizon of the Black Hole.....or are unlucky enough to pass it and enter the Black Hole, that you can chuck your physics book in the bin because all laws of pysics as we know it will be suspended. And anything that enters a Black Hole can NEVER escape back out again!

Personally, I don't think blackhole has link to anywhere (with my limited knowledge of course).

It's like saying that the hole left behind after uprooting a plant could take you somewhere in the great beyond.

Blackholes are the 'moats' left behind after stars died. Yes. Stars are massive. Bigger than our own sun (star). But vis-a-vis the universe, they are miniscule. Just like the hole left behind after uprooting a plant is miniscule compare to the earth.
