The husband is dead. His family members are not complaining. The woman is not in Nigeria and may not cooperate. There may be no access to the children for DNA tests. The woman is not complaining of any sexual harassment or abuse of privilege against the MD.

Now to the MD, he may simply deny all the allegations. So where will the evidence to indict him come from expecially if the woman is not reachable and she is not complaining? The MD will be ready to submit himself for DNA tests but of what use is it without the children's specimen?

The only way he would be sacked is the share price takes a huge fall. What he did is ethically wrong but is it against the bank's regulations? Two consenting adults having extramarital affairs.

What he is trying to say is that going against the the code of ethics of your organisation doesnt mean you've committed a criminal offence.
Meaning that's the headache of your organisation and they can do whatever they want to do to punish the person. At most, they will sack them. I know people who were sacked abroad for having sex in the office, caught on CCTV.
The police weren't involved, and no crime was committed. A crime - is an offence punishable by LAW ( the main constitution).
Perhaps if it wasn't a consensual relationship and the man raped her or threatened her with losing her job it will be a crime.
Clinton's main problem with the law wasn't about the fact he had an affair at all, but more of perjury ( LYING UNDER OATH abt the affair) - a crime in the US.

as it is now, bank has no power to sack him on this issue because he does not have issue in the first place
