With God all things are possible.

If Elijah stopped the rain and also prayed and it rained...1kings17, it is very possible that one can pray and avert an impending rain. Of course, it depends on one's relationship with the MOST HIGH.

The truth is that we all are not on the same level spiritually just as we aren't in the physical realm. Some are new born babes while others are adults.

Someone that has gone far in the spiritual realm can declare a thing and it can come to pass...a spiritual toddler can pray till infinity and the rain will still fall grin grin grin grin grin cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy grin grin grin...this is a spiritual matter.
Sir, your explanation isn't true. I know it seems logical and it looks like a fact but it's not the truth. I don't even want to go deep about this but MAN in is original state has power over every element of creation/nature. It doesn't really have to do with whether one is an adult spiritually or a baby spiritually. Man was given the authority over these elements, they are servants, they have ears, you can command them and they MUST obey you. Isn't Man a spirit being? Stuffs like this man's testimony are just norms, like basic realities of man. Elijah didn't have Christ, yet he commanded fire, what of Joshua? Our lack of understanding about who we are is really stopping us from living in the realities of what we are capable of.

And if you now have Jesus Christ, it doesn't matter whether you are a minute old born again or a thousand years old born again, you can shift any and every thing because you are seated with Christ in heavenly places far above principalities and powers, might and dominions, names that are not only in this world but also in the world to come. Your positional advantage in Christ makes every knee bow to you.

Yes it is very possible. It happens to me on the day of my ordination. We were about 18 of us about to be ordained in different offices, as stipulated by the Holy sculpture. Before you know what happened the cloud became black, I said oh my God does this mean we are not qualified or we are not fit for this ordination, I queried. I said withen myself how can eighteen of us be ordain and a heavy rain will still fall and scather the program? Immediately I went out side to pray and ask God, if truly you called me to be your servant let this weather be clear and stop the rain from raining. God is my witness before I finished praying, I saw the cloud becoming clear and brighter. The next thing was a heavy sun shining very hot. I have never disclose this to my G. O uptil till now am saying it.
If you believe in God you can do almost anything.
God bless you.

Eziokwugbaoto:
John 14: 12. This is just a little fragment of the mighty things we can do if only we know the power God has given us as christians. Reminds me of a burial I went to in Isuikwuato Abia state in september of 2015. 'Twas that of a family friend so I went with them to arrange one or two things. Being that it was during the rainy season there were fears that the rain might pour sansan for garri. So we declared there should be no rain from 3 days preceding the burial proper and on the d-day and God honoured us. On those 3 days rain would fall in neighbouring communities but it won't reach our side so nothing stopped us from preparing well for the burial. Then on the wake-keep night one of the uncles came and said they should give him money to pay the village rain makers. We told him there was no need that rain won't fall. So the thing became a contest oo. But God no shame us, the kain sun wey shine that day na the northern version grin. But the night after the burial the withheld rain fell with anger till day break. But you need to get to a certain level in your walk with God sha.
Hmm yes when we are about to burry my late dad. Two years ago, this so called rain maker came to threaten us to pay them or they will let the heaven to be loosed. grin I Actually a have a little fear in me, and been a pastor I still hold my ground, you know village things. My younger brother was like you better pay them this and that, I still hold my ground. On the day of wake keeping they came again to give me the final warning, grin OMo I have to bribe them with fried meat and drinks, but I refused to give them a dime. But to God be the glory everything went on successful on the day of burial.

It's interesting how people can pray for the most inane things and believe they received answers but be completely silent on the more important issues.
I think Mr Aribisala has to locate the pastor again so that they can wish/pray Corona virus away.

Mr Aribisala is a very intelligent man and writes brilliant articles most times but it is so sad the way religion makes the most cerebral people sound silly and dumb.

and its called cloud seeding..there is nothing spiritual about it, africans have been doing long before and call it ogun but there is nothing of sot, just some release of some chemical in a specific ways to cause a chain reaction in the cloud...

But if an Indian man does that with his Fuju, you will believe it. What is so hard in bringing down a rain and stopping a rain from raining. The native doctors does that always. Thats why he said you are ignorant.

Even Elijah was a man of like passion but he prayed fervently that it shouldn't rain for 3 and half years and it was so. James 5:17 The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. The key things are fervent prayers, righteousness and faith. The devil wanted to use fear to weaken your resolve but thank God your persevered. Hope the meat and drinks you gave them was not to make them hold the rain which they allegedly think they can hold.
