Good day house, I am trying to register for UI pg but I can't find M.Sc in the options. I can only see M.Phil, M.Phil/Ph.D and Ph.D. In case you are wondering the course - software engineering under computer science. So my question is whether to take M.Phil since in the guide, they mention candidates without PGD/MSC will be given MSC, while those that have might be considered for M.Phil or Ph.D. Did i interpreted the guide right or else any good advice would be appreciated. Also they mentioned letter of recommendations that they (teachers/lecturers) should be familiar with my work, however I did Physics for my first degree and since I am switching, would using recommendation letters from my Physics lectures count?

Hello, have you try to re check your admission letter whether is still there or not? If it is still there, there is no cause for alarm. The problem comes from IT dpt. I have similar issue, if I click on "generate acceptance invoice" it will take me to a new login page. I called one of them and she told me I should wait till school resumes.

Fully-funded Masters and PhD scholarships are now open for members of the Commonwealth countries. However, this scholarship shouldn't be confused with the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship; the same provider but different application process.

BEWARE: The Department for International Development (DFID), which managed the Commonwealth scholarships in the past, has been disbanded. Do not make the mistake of writing DFID in your scholarship essays. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is now in charge of the scholarship.

Ok thanks but my admission letter isn't ready yet let alone being able to generate an invoice for acceptance fee. I was only recommended before the whole Corona virus saga started.

I didnt check though, but all the common wealth states are always eligible.

*Extension of Sale of Late Application forms for the 2019/2020 Academic Session*

The Board of the Postgraduate College has approved the extension of sale of late application forms for Master degree programmes for the 2019/2020 session for another three weeks (from 4 January, 2021 to 25 January, 2021).

This is to make up for attrition and to allow for more candidates, especially those who have just completed their NYSC to partake in the exercise.

Note that the Test of Proficiency in English (TPE) will take place on 26 January, 2021.

Interested qualified applicants should visit the Postgraduate College website (pgcollege.ui.edu.ng) for detailed information.
