We have two Embassies in Vietnam and non of them is issuing passport. They are always at the mercy of Nigerian Embassy in Malaysia. A lot of us who are genuinely working are at edge of loosing our work because of issue of expired passport.

Staying a day after ones visa expiration in Vietnam is 5 years entry sanction. Why can’t Nigeria immigration Service do non-appearance passport for those their passports have expired like other African countries here in Vietnam.

Most of the African countries don’t even have Embassies much more a passport desk here but they never lack any basic service from their government. My Ghanaian and Uganda friends are not shaken at all by this pandemic limitations and expiring passport wahala. My Ghanaians friend sent their copy of their expiring passports to their High Commission in Malaysia and all their passport were done and sent back to them through DHL.

Ours is a different ball game even when we have our finger prints and details in the immigration database. Most countries don't have issues with their own Embassies even when the Embassies are not sited here. They are 100% assured of any basic needs they might be in need. Why are we a pain to our citizens. Why can't the citizens of Nigeria be proud of Nigeria just for once. I am really pained and our help is only from above. We have the risk of loosing our jobs and returning back to Nigeria just to renew our passport and have no chance of coming back due to the fact of border closing on foreigners. If our passports can't be renewed in another country where we have two Embassies then what is the purpose of having Embassies there.

Are we truly a shithole country likeTrump said?

Naija why? Are we cursed as a nation?
Analogue leaders in high places of authority?
What is wrong with us?

Nigerian embassies in the West use to abandon their citizens to their fates and you think that of Vietnam won't be worse?
Surprised we even have two embassies in the country.
Anyway, I wish you luck because that is the only thing you need to survive anywhere in the world as a Nigerian.

Lalasticlala this is FP worthy, it affects NigeriAns abroad.

Op the best thing to do is to go to that embassy in Vietnam.
Take something and break all the glasses of the cars parked outside the embassy.

It works wonders. Just try it

Why is it that nothing about this country seems working? Ha Ha!

Why are simple things so difficult with this country sef?

Nothing is working for this country both in and outside, why?

And the painful part is, when you complain, some evil and wicked souls would start attacking you!

I am in a group of South Africans in China, and it takes them close to a year to get a new passport. When I renewed my passport in China, it took me just 20minutes to get a replacement. I have an Australian friend that his passport got damaged in Thailand, it took two months to get a replacement. I want you to understand this is not just about Nigeria alone but a common occurrence that's why it's better to get a replacement months before your current passport expires (I got a replacement 7 months before mine expired) Sorry for what you're going through, I hope you find a solution soon

Thanks for your contribution but I wish to make it clearer. My passport is not yet expired but has from now till October to do so but my resident card can not be renewed again until I renew my passport. Many have few months to expire. My friend had to travel home because he doesn't want to risk 5 years non entry and he spent not less than $3000 which he cant come back to Vietnam anytime soon. Our records are at the Immigration database with our details, what is hard for them to use the details on their database and reprint a new passport. Why can't they have a staff of Immigration at the Embassies that will be doing the capturing and be sending back to Nigeria or better still, have the matchine that can do it. We have two Embassies here in Vietnam and non is renewing passport, then of what need are they there. Nigeria issues are always the worst when it comes to helping their citizens on disapora

Don’t be surprised the demon that is in charged of Nigeria is clearly the one in Daniel’s book, that refused to let go of the angel, imagine a demon pinning your prayer down, brethren if you can’t pray before now, this is the time to dive into prayer like a mad person..
Re: The Agony Of Passport Expiration In Vietnam by KnightsTemplar(m): 9:51pm On Jan 06, 2021
Naija is a disorganised, which is as a result of past and present hopeless leaders, nothing works, absolutely nothing. I think the only logical solution to Nigeria's problems is division, let each unit solve its own problems. And the truth of the matter, it will keep getting worse, unless there is a radical positive change, Buhari is a big failure, who doesn't understand the pains Nigerians, both home and in diaspora pass through as a result of a failed system. But guy wetin you find reach Vietnam, of all places.
