The US comprises different "countries" (kind of) which are in a Union.

Take the African Union for example, if the AU Leader is chosen in a "direct democracy vote" of all the member states' citizens, then the agenda of countries with large populations like Nigeria will always dominate.

The electoral college allows smaller states to have voice.

If any country should criticize the US, its not Russia. Evem China is just looking. So the kind of corrupt oligarchy, the mafia style of governance in Russia is the best style abi. That one is democracy? One fool on this forum is even praising the syatem of government in Nigeria and China. Authoritarian and dictatorial governments.

where were you a few years ago when our law makers jumped fence into the national assembly despite the security operatives stopping them? In the case of capitol hill incident, it was not their law makers who jumped fence into the building but the protesters
