The buy the grasshopper for N50k per bag and sell the biggest bowl for N2,100 while there is another for N300. Not sure it is exaggerated.

It was when I came here in the North that I noticed grasshopper is food. Where I come from we don't eat grasshoppers.

i grew up in the Maimalari Barracks in Borno State in the late 80's . Fara is superb delicacy that people in Maiduguri dont joke about. They catch it particularly late at night when the weather is cool. The grasshoppers are mainly brownish in Color with tough calcarous exoskeleton .
i grew up to like it just like my elder brothers taught me. I enjoy it the same way i enjoy esunsun in Ibadan

Not sure I heard them say they make such profit. Making sales of about N20k-N30k is a bit different from making profits. I believe they are two different things. If they buy a bag for 50k, chances are that they might make much, or not, depending on how the bag is stuffed.

I don't doubt their daily sales figure at all, considering the prices of the cups or bowls they sell with. Strangely, true money is in the least of things we expect.
