With what I've read here so far,it looks like perjury will be the nail on Obaseki. The judge seems to be so interested in the 2016 issue and he didn't do much to defend that area.

The most important thing is whether Obaseki forged his certificate or not. If the issuing authority says that the certificate he submitted is authentic, then how will the judge rule otherwise?

You are required by law to submit only a complete and authentic document. Any alteration, incomplete information or mistake renders THE DOCUMENT INVALID

You don't know the crux of the matter . In form ec9 obasaki submitted a photocopy of his certificate ...you can only photocopy from original ....you are expected to present something that looks like the photocopy you presented which is In the public dormain. ..but when the school authority was asked to attest if the photocopy attached by obasaki is same with the original the issued him ...the man simply said he cannot attest to that cos it looks like incomplete photocopy....with your common sense you can deduce that is a lost case ...he cannot claim that he mistakenly submit incomplete photocopy of the original ...nobody says he didn't graduate from ui but the document must tally
