Lol. Igbos remind me of the sayiing "if wishes were Horses, beggars would ride". Igbos are currently the ones making the most blackmailing noise without a critical look at their poltcal weaknesses/limitations and how counter them to present a winning challenge from Party level popularity contests The bottom line is that the emergence of a PDP and APC Presidential candidate begins with the internal and private Primaries electoral process of both Parties. Nothing to do with noise, blackmail or what the ordinary Nigerians on the street want. If you are not strong at Party caucus level, which no Igbo is, then all talk of Igbo Presidency is dead on arrival. Fair-minded individuals must conclude this is a deserving fate for Igbos who play politics of hate always and deliberately, insultingly and disdainfully reject building political bridges and forging alliances only to try and reap where they have not sown. Average and desperate Igbos on the Street will back that strategy, because Igbos are a patently unfair people in the generality, but party delegates play to a different set of rules that is more about who can guarantee their permanent interest above everything else. This is where Igbos will always fall short. I am saying it again, very sure in my assertion, that PDP and APC will not have an Igbo presidential candidate in 2023. Not what Igbos want to hear but that is the reality they do not have the time or right political orientation to change before 2023. Structures others put in place, over time, are too firmly entrenched for Igbos to depose at the last minute to then profit where they refused to sow. |

We all know that Umahi is a sellout but what I know is that PDP = PETER OBI. APC = OGBONNIA ONU. YPP = KINGSLEY MUOGHALU failing to do so, every one should go their separate ways, period!! |

shizzle1:Lol. That's all you people believe in doing. Giving it to others "hot". Fighting and insulting others. Always pushing the agenda of enmity, division and rancour. At no time in Nigeria's history have Igbos ever been mature, compromising, diplomatic or pragmatically sacrificial for the greater good. How will such a divisive people ever produce the President of Nigeria given that they have offended all others they need to achieve that ambition because of their divisive and hateful core character? |

popesco123:Lol. Where do some of you live? On Mars? Which APC delegates will vote Fayemi the Party's Presidential candidate ahead of Tinubu or his anointed which will be no other than Osinbajo? As for PDP, Makinde, a Yoruba, will defeat Atiku and co how? People forget that, beyond politically correct rhetoric, the PDP is a Fulani Party with a few "useful kaffir" southern "slaves" like Wike, Makinde, Bode George, Peter Obi etal. The way Atiku's son spoke recently as if his dad is already PDP 2023 candidate should be revealing for Southern members or supporters of the Party who are pragmatic. |

| Re: 2023: Scramble For VP, Suspicion Rock South East by Nobody: 10:57am On Jan 10, 2021 |
Naajjii:Tell this emotional and sentimental tale to the voting delegates of PDP and APC who will determine who flies the flag for their respective Party in 2023. If those delegates elect a Yoruba to be the candidate of the ruling APC Party then a Yoruba will be President. Game over for you haters who can never look beyond politics of hate to understand that politics is about permanent interests, and those who best offer it to others, not permanent enmity or clannish friendship you guys are unable to see beyond. |

leokid866:Don't mind them. They can be so unreasonable in thinking and talk you have to wonder if they are normal humans like the rest of us. The SE has the worst leaders in Nigeria today yet we are to belive someone cut from that cloth will deliver Nigeria? Igbos are so politically useless. If you must even sell your candidate, do so with humility and solid arguments predicated on reality. Not a messianic view of self that is laughably at odds with what all other Nigerians can see. Just look at all Igbo current governors and past governors. I cannot even wish any of them as a senator on any SW State let alone President of the whole Nigeria. Madness. |

adenigga:Stupid country, foolish citizens....looking for ethnic presidents instead of best fits. All your leaders in house of assembly and those who are Governors, what have they done right. The president is from the North, what have they gained. Let us keep dancing to the tunes of politicians whose only concern is their pockets. Then you expect the country to get better. Imagine the directive on NIN that came out in a period where people are supposed to be social distancing and you think you have people in power that think? In the end we deserve what we get |

etrouble:Why are you forgetting Professor Osibanjo, an Igbo law professor who hid behind a Hausa/Fulani president to fight the Yorubas. Clown. |
| Re: 2023: Scramble For VP, Suspicion Rock South East by Nobody: 12:18pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
loopman:Absolutely. If not that Igbos lack pragmatism, political nous and focus then it is statements like that shown below, showing open disdain for them, that should bother ndi Igbo and not an obsession with stopping Tinubu or another Yoruba becoming President in 2023. Are Igbos not ashamed that Fulanis and Northerners in PDP have scant regards for them and their 22 years of loyal service to the PDP from 1999 to date? The statement below, made in June 2020, shows that the fate of Igbos in the PDP is sealed. They are not in the consideration of their Fulani overlords. The son of Atiku showed open disregard for any notion of equity to Igbos yet it is Yorubas Igbos attack daily as "greedy" and "betrayers" etal. May God open the eyes of Igbos some day. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/atiku-will-contest-2023-presidency-son/amp/ Atiku will contest 2023 presidency – Son Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will contest the 2023 presidency unfailingly, his son, Adamu has confirmed. |
| Re: 2023: Scramble For VP, Suspicion Rock South East by Nobody: 1:06pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
etrouble:Spot on brother. Look above to see I make exactly the same argument.. Atiku's son has announced that his father will unfailingly contest for the PDP 2023 ticket. This is not a problem for Igbos leaders and people. In fact they pretend as if no such statement even exist. Same as they pretend obigbo/Oyigbo massacre of their fellow Igbos and Awkuzu SARS genocide of Igbos, that was aided by Peter Obi and Igbo elites, never happened. This same people then shout incessantly over the fake and propagandist Lekki massacre led by their IPOBian high priestess DJ Witch. They want to turn Sanwo Olu and Tinubu into criminals, to be hanged, over a "massacre" no one can prove. Whereas same Igbos have nothing to say about Peter Obi, Willie Obiano, Awkuzu butcher James Nwafor and many Igbo genocidaires who had a hand in more than 40 dead bodies of gruesomely murdered MASSOB members and innocent Igbos floating on rivers in Ala Igbo. This same Igbos talk as if Tinubu, a founding father of APC who contributed huge financial and political patronage towards the ruling Party, has no right to contest for the Party ticket and must make way for their Umahi, Kalu or Ogbonaya Onu. All this shames Igbos and Shames Igbos too. It shames Igbos because it exposes them as shameless and predatory cowards always hiding away from confronting those who brutalized and oppress them mercilessly like Wike and their Fulani overlords in the PDP while ready to always pounce on 'soft targets'. It shames Yorubas because we have allowed our kindness, tolerance and equitable nature to be hijacked by the rapacious nature of Igbos who see those qualities as weaknesses they must exploit whereas they cower in fear, servitude and inaction against those who never care to treat them with human dignity, compassion or decency. Their nerve in trying to bully the very highly deserving Tinubu out of competing for 2023 under the APC platform he helped to build, while they pretend not to notice the Atiku PDP challenge that ends their own PDP adventure, just shows what Igbos are. |

etrouble:Beautiful write up that lack sense,, East and west can't face each other in presidential election because they're from same southern region, Is either they are president or deputize a northern President,, Just as professor Osinbajo, with all his academic qualification and exposure is asslicking not only a semi illiterate,,,, but an old dementia stack illiterate Fulani herdsman. Same thing you accused Igbos of doing is what your region (you're bragging about) is currently doing now. |
| Re: 2023: Scramble For VP, Suspicion Rock South East by Daboomb: 2:54pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
Grayoso:Dont worry, Igbos are Planting David Umahi and his likes in APC, to scatter the Alliance and Agreement between the Yorubas and the Buhari, Northern caucus made in 2015. If Igbos cant have the APC Ticket, they will make sure Yorubas dont have it as well. That is why all Igbos are jumping to the APC at this last minute. `Spiteful Hatred, is also a strategy |
| Re: 2023: Scramble For VP, Suspicion Rock South East by adenigga(op): 3:41pm On Jan 10, 2021 |
Daboomb:So, who will now be a loser? You better advice IPOB to merge with OHANAEZE NDIGBO or else your old traditional political system of ''Republican'' will play out again. Politics is a game of numbers, put your house in order then reach out to other zones, even if your Zones betray you, others might surely cast sympathy votes based on long marginalisation of Great Igbo Nation by oligarchy oriented Fulfude. |

Yoruba1stson:I would like to know you more.. So that when the time comes you will be the one fighting for a Visa to visit our lands... To escape your hunger-riden lands. Mark this day on your forehead.. We will make the North our slaves, we will stripe you of your; lands, titles and everything you think you have will become ours. And on that day, you will say someone told me this a long time ago... Although I hope you don't die before then, so you can witness the terror we will bring on you Northerners, for the years of pain and sorrow you have brought unto us too. |
